It's...well, it's unfair as usual, but he doesn't know what to say that isn't already known, so he doesn't say anything at all. His own thoughts on the situation are messy and complicated as it is. Instead, he looks at the ice cream again because he's not sure how well this question will be received either.]

Did you guys really have to break Shirasu's legs? [And by you guys he just means Saix, apparently, and he's giving Axel's hoodie a careful glance. That's definitely not his but he's not going to ask why he's still wearing it a day later.]

[ he nods at the first part, even though they both have their own doubts about it. ... and then roxas changes the subject and axel makes a face ]

Hey, don't pin the blame on me, I was kinda busy with my own thing while that was going on.

[ his own thing being. currently being stabbed. he groans a bit and shoves his hand deep into saix's hoodie, obviously aware roxas is wondering why he's still got it on. and the answer is.................. he has not gone home to grab his stuff yet ]

It was definite overkill, but... Man, I'm just glad he only got his legs.

[It's probably better to change the subject given it would just end in Roxas talking about how he thinks he could have done something different since he's known since Friday. Instead, he makes a face back.]

I'm not blaming you, dummy. I am blaming Saix though because there was no reason to go that far. Lune and I could've handled it ourselves after the trial was over.

[There's a frown then.] ...I wanted you guys to wait to confront him for a reason. At least until after I made some more progress with him. [Hm.] He knew it wasn't right in the end and he told me what his reasons were. He learned from his mistakes and he was going to try and find people he trusted here and try finding people who trusted him. He told me he wasn't going to hurt any of you, so I'm pretty mad at him, too, but...I don't even know if he's going to listen to me now.

... Is that why he told Emma? [ he looks pensive, for a second, but there's nothing much he can say to help roxas there. he's rather certain there's no way shirasu would willingly talk to roxas after everything that went down ] Look, I can't say this went down exactly how I wanted it to, either. I'd kinda been hoping to at least get some sort of explanation outta him, but that ship sailed fast.

I think so, yes. And because he trusted me, I trusted him and told him some stuff and he knows who I am. [So this is just. Bad all around.]

I didn't think he'd actually stab you though. So. Even if he won't listen to me about anything else I have to talk to him about that. [...ugh.] So what are you going to do now?

[ like. obviously? otherwise he would've moved? ]

I was kinda planning on trying to speak with him myself once he wasn't all... [ he gestures vaguely to mean "cursed" ] Otherwise, Emma's got those beads, so tomorrow I'm playing ghost horse charades? Oh, and I gotta talk to Milla about her role. Really looking forward to that one. [ it's said cheerfully enough, but there's a bit of an edge to it, especially at the last part ] So, y'know. Keeping busy.

It might help. He shouldn't be able to hurt anybody else so you can try.

[But...horse...charades. Also this is a lot of info.] Milla likes me enough, so she'll be nice to you. Lune picked her while I got to pick the Corona. Her job's...wait, who told you about her role?

[He's also making a face.] And whose idea was it to try and summon the horse?

[ like. axel is not volunteering himself because he thinks it will help shirasu not be terrible. he is the wrong person to get other people redeemed? clearly?
And hes the one making a face at Roxas saying Milla should be nice to him. ]

I'm not worried about her not being nice. [ but he doesn't expand on that, moving on ] Shess told me hers today, since he told her what mine was. And I don't wanna summon the horse, but I didn't wanna find him dead either, so this is a beggers and choosers kinda deal.

It'll help me get some leverage with him and try to make things right. Is that better? [He's not even asking Axel to forgive Shirasu, he's just hoping to stop everyone from killing him since that solves nothing in his opinion.

But he pauses.] You're letting Shess do a lot of talking. [Just. Idle commentary.] Did he at least say he was going to tell her your role before doing it? How'd that even come up?

If you're going to summon Swift Wind though, tell him I said hi.

[ that wasn't quite his objection, but he's not gonna correct roxas there. as for the second part... he shrugs, looking away. ]

I couldn't tell ya how it went down. I learned about it after the fact. [ that's a no on the warning. he doesn't seem too bothered by it, though, all things considered. ] He's saying otherwise, but I'm guessing it's leverage in case I pull something else like that. It's no big deal.

[ it's not like it's the first time he's done something to lose people's trust. he's a lot more used to not having it than the opposite, anyway. ]

[He wills away the bowl of ice cream (which was mostly eaten anyway) solely so he can fold his arms over his chest and stare at Axel for the time being.]

It's sort of a big deal, but okay. [This is why Roxas as an NPC was a bad idea.] ...the way this whole thing is working makes it so much harder for you guys to trust each other. I don't get what the universe is trying to do.

Do Shess and Emma know everything you know by now? [How much information's getting spread around?]

[leaberator]

Believe me, I don't get the universe either.

[ he's not? acknowledging whether anything is a big deal or not? it's fine. it's fine! it's Great. ]

... Yeah, I guess? Not like I had a whole lot I knew they didn't. Unless we're counting you an' Mikazuki as info.

I don't know. Shess talks to Jiji--Lune a lot and so does Emma, but you're the only one who really talks to me about stuff that isn't asking for favors.

[Of those three, he means. Also is Roxas just lazy and using a nickname for Mikazuki? Yeah.] It maybe counts a little. But right now you're starting to find everyone that's been tasked with roles. That's a good step forward.

[ he frowns a little at that ]

Whaddaya mean, "the only one"?

[A shrug. ] Of the three of you, I mean. Shess only spoke to me to see if I had answers to a question he had, and then to grant him a favor. I had to give him a task to do so and he only did it because someone else suggested it. Emma...I see her weekly for her role but even then it's usually Lune. Otherwise it's questions to get information I can't even clarify for her, or favors. Everyone sort of defaults to Lune which is okay. It's not like I don't get why.

[But it is a little frustrating to sit around and wait for people only to be asked for favors or answers he can't always guarantee.] ...but I have you guys. Minato's nice. Nana's going to teach me to bake. And Shirasu was nice to have around before everything happened.

[This may not be how it really is but from his perspective most people come to him once to actually talk to him and then it's about favors or questions he can't answer] It's just the way things are right now.

[leaberator]

[ he listens to Roxas talk quietly, the frown on his face deepening. he gets why it's happening, but... he doesn't have to like it.

he stays quiet for a bit, mulling it over ]

Just 'cause that's the way they are, that doesn't make it right. I can't guarantee you anything with Shees, but I can at least talk to Emma about it.

[On the one hand, yeah, it'd be kind of nice to actually know who he's working with. On the other, he knows that's idealistic and he sort of feels weird asking Axel to fix things. So…he frowns right back.]

I dunno. Maybe it doesn't really matter that much. Even Valvatorez eventually started coming back just to get tasks to earn favors. But that's what I'm supposed to do to help everyone here.

[ haha. wow. he's definitely doing that now, looking at roxas dubiously when he says he doesn't care. he won't call him out on it, but that doesn't mean he has to listen when roxas tells him it's fine. still, there's a pause once he mentions emma. he'd meant to tell him, so... ]

Yeah. I... We kinda started dating, so... That's part of it. [ let's immediately BRUSH PAST THAT ] All the more reason why she shouldn't be rude to my best friend, accidental or not.

... Friday? [ he wants to die? he wants to die. never mind he's staying single forever it's better than talking about this. ]
