As The Crescent:
Every Monday, the Crescent will meet with the Signs and be given the opportunity to grant one other player immunity for the week. This immunity will allow the player to live for that week even if they are chosen as a victim by the Corrupted.

Should the Crescent choose to protect someone and that person is selected as a victim, however, the Crescent's name will be provided as the victim and they will die in that week to protect the chosen player.

The Crescent will also be allowed to submit a name for a victim in order to protect someone else. If they are concerned that someone they wish to protect will be chosen by the Corrupted, they may enact a trade to sacrifice another player. While there is no guarantee that the name they've offered will be chosen, this action will earn favor among the Signs.

The choice must be made at the time of the meeting. The Crescent only gets one meeting per week and they must choose wisely if they wish to protect someone and risk their own life, or offer someone as a failsafe sacrifice. (i.e. "I would like to protect X" versus "should X be chosen by the Corrupted, I would like to substitute Y.")

When the Signs seek to summon the Crescent, a portal will appear when they finds themselves alone. Upon entering the portal, they will be brought into a tea room where the Signs are waiting for them. When their visit in the room concludes and they choose to exit, the portal will disappear. The Crescent will find that no matter how long they spent in the tea Room, no time has elapsed outside of the portal.

Additional notes:
The Crescent will be allowed to ask questions about the ongoings of the game and communicate with the Signs in their weekly meetings. They will be able to also receive small hints in the game should they perform well, including game mechanics, locations and more. However, the information received will be up to the Signs' discretion.

[cyclists]

Milla, hey. [They seem comfortable enough with her they aren't on edge, at least.] I think the universe mostly approved of some things...does that count?

[tothemaxwell]

I think that, perhaps, that is the best we can expect, for now.

Shall we start immediately? We can share as much as we are individually allowed--oh!

[She suddenly frowns, brows knitting.]

I can't believe I didn't include a clause for questioning. We can only hope that successfully transfers under the prior agreements.

[cyclists]

Do you think we really need a clause for questioning? What would that even be?

[i.e. what is that, Sol's an idiot.]

Something that mentions the potential for questioning would have been a good place to start... an addition to what we already agreed to. But if that requires a further agreement, so be it.

You mentioned you were interested in my own story. Was there anything in particular?

[cyclists]

We can figure it out as we go. But yeah, I am. There's a couple of things. [There's a nod.] I guess...you're not really human, are you? Where did you come from? Do you know?

[tothemaxwell]

No, I am not. I am the lord of spirits, Maxwell, although my full name is Milla Maxwell.

My origin, however, is unique among spirits. I was born as a human being, created by my predecessor, the original Maxwell.

Are you human, Sol?

[cyclists]

[Oh. Well that's something.]

It's an honor to meet a lord. [There's a grin, but also they're a little serious. There's a pause...but they shake their head.]

No. I'm not. I think we might be a little similar.

[tothemaxwell]

I am equally honored to have met you, Sol. [She smiles, tilting her head.]

Is that so? I would like to know a little bit about your own origin, if you are able.

[cyclists]

[Hm...about that.]

It's a little complicated. It's nothing like being born human and then turning into a spirit or anything, but...it was definitely an accident. It took a long time to figure out where I came from and where I was supposed to go after that.

LUNE

Hello, Lune. Do you have any thoughts on this week's selection?

[cyclists]

Hmm...

While normally I would be pleased to offer my advice -

I do believe you have this well in hand, Milla.

[tothemaxwell]

Oh? You trust me to such a degree?

I have to say, I'm honored, Lune.

This week, I plan to again choose one of our young members. I must say, it is tempting to protect Akane, as my partner... perhaps I should choose randomly, to ensure fair choice, rather than bias.

[cyclists]

If that is what you desire - it makes sense if you are fond of your partner considering the tie between you, and how you've come to know one another.

However there are admittedly plenty youths present.

[tothemaxwell]

Yes, agreed. Although I wish to protect Akane, I also wish to protect everyone.

[hm]

Then, I will randomize my selection, and do what I can to defend the remainder of our group.

[cyclists]

[She smiles at the tone, canting her head as she looks at Lune.]

Full of flattery as ever, I see.

Let us hope I can do some good.

You always do good wherever you go.

And that is not flattery.

I'm not certain I necessarily agree—but I do attempt to do well, regardless of whether it is accomplished or not.

All I can do is simply continue on that path.

To attempt to do well is, regardless, inspirational for many.

Vigor and charisma carry others very far in history, after all.
