POWERS

POWERS


In your acceptance notice, each of you received an elemental attribute assigned to your character. From there, you were given the opportunity to select a branch to utilize.

Within these basic elemental powers, for those who wish for a guideline, characters who are unfamiliar with their magic can expect to manipulate their abilities within four general levels. Every week, depending on how much they practice (every few days vs. everyday) they can expect to raise from a half level to a full level each week.

Elemental powers might find themselves more attached to emotional responses as well, particularly among those who are not used to harnessing the energy. Practicing magic is very similar physical training of a skill, however if one persists practice even past their stamina, they will feel a much stronger mental toll.

The levels are as follows:

Level 1: Characters can begin to summon the nature of their magic in small doses. For those with tangible magics, it would be small enough to fit in the size of their palm (a puddle, fire, a seed, a small puff of air.)
Level 2: Characters will be able to manipulate the shape of their magic, bending it to their will.
Level 3: Characters will be able to summon more powerful levels of their previous magic, think approximately medium in size, and manipulate them accordingly.
Level 4: An altogether more complete ability to use their magic, however not to the extent of anything immediately lethal. Manipulation is never so perfect as to One-Hit KO someone and cannot be refined to that point. Use your chosen named power if you want to accomplish that.


If you have any additional questions or specifics regarding your character's branch, please feel free to ask the mods! These are intended only to be a guideline and not at all limiting.

In addition to these elements, each character will be allowed to pick one individual skill aligned to their element. Below is a list of these elements, and the individual powers aligned with these attributes. Each character will start off with one power of their choosing from the element they've been aligned with, but may have chances throughout the game to receive additional blessings or change their abilities.

You can pick whichever power you'd like to start with from the list available to you. This is an entirely OOC pick, so even if your character would not choose this nothing is stopping you from choosing for them.

FIRE


Users of this element may be aligned with either Fire or Lava.

Color Burst - The ability to summon and set off fireworks at will.

Rocks Fall, Everyone Dies - The ability to summon meteors at will.

Ring of Fire - The ability of being fully fireproof, able to withstand high temperatures and flames.

Burning Heart - The ability to incite very strong emotions (positive and negative) in another person of the user's choice.

Spitfire - The ability to adjust someone's speech pattern to any form the user thinks of. For example, you can make someone only speak in raps, only tell lies, or animal noises.

Heat of the Moment - The ability to get a temperature reading on a user's surroundings, allowing them to know if another living (or dead) being is close by.

Sundrop - The ability to have your elemental power enhanced by the sunlight.

Hunk of Burning Love - The ability to incite feelings of passion and romance in another person of the user's choice.

WATER


Users of this element may be aligned with either water or ice.

Evaporeon - The ability to turn into a liquid/gas/frozen state. This ability also allows users to phase through tight spaces if they change accordingly.

Toxicity - The ability to create and harness poisons and acids.

Undertow - The ability to completely numb the emotions of someone of the user's choice.

Abandon Ship - The ability to fill any area with a large amount of water including the capability of creating tsunamis.

Pull Me Under - The ability to inflict a sense of overwhelming feelings on someone of the user's choice, whether this is positive or negative. Someone effected may find they are unable to act due to being conflicted by their emotions.

Reflection - The ability to copy someone else's mannerisms for a whole day, including appearance and powers to a certain degree.

Moonbeam - The ability to have your elemental power enhanced by the moonlight.

Echo - The ability to use echolocation to trace objects and people in the nearby vicinity.

EARTH


Users of this element may be aligned with either plants or animals.

Rock n Roll - The ability to literally move any amount of dirt.

Rock Solid - The ability to harden one's skin to an impenetrable thickness for protection.

Shake It Up - The ability to cause precise, well-timed earthquakes at any moment necessary.

Iron Man - The ability to apply super-strength to any object.

Head In The Sand - The ability to incite fear or cowardice into anyone of the user's choice.

Earthpulse - The ability to receive guidance on one choice per week, an ear to the ground for info-seekers.

Overflow - The ability to grow seeds at a rapid pace.

Bury a Friend - The ability to influence someone else to keep one secret and take it to their grave. Victims of this ability will not be able to share the secret selected by the user at all costs.

AIR


Users of this element may be aligned with either air or lightning.

Up Up and Away - The ability to levitate and even fly. Users, however, will not be able to fly away from their current location.

Now You See Me- The ability to turn invisible for up to 24 hours, disappearing into thin air.

CrushCrushCrush - The ability to change the air pressure at will without it affecting the user.

Head In The Clouds - The ability to turn anyone of the user's choice into an airhead, causing them to be lacksidasical, unfocused and flighty.

Bird's Eye - The ability to receive a mental map of an entire location from an aerial point of view.

Roadrunner - The ability to increase the user's speed in any task they perform.

Boom Clap - The ability to cause rolls of thunder at will, creating loud claps of it.

Strike While It's Hot - The ability to direct a single bolt of lightning at any given target at any given time.
