As The Crescent:
Every Monday, the Crescent will meet with the Signs and be given the opportunity to grant one other player immunity for the week. This immunity will allow the player to live for that week even if they are chosen as a victim by the Corrupted.

Should the Crescent choose to protect someone and that person is selected as a victim, however, the Crescent's name will be provided as the victim and they will die in that week to protect the chosen player.

The Crescent will also be allowed to submit a name for a victim in order to protect someone else. If they are concerned that someone they wish to protect will be chosen by the Corrupted, they may enact a trade to sacrifice another player. While there is no guarantee that the name they've offered will be chosen, this action will earn favor among the Signs.

The choice must be made at the time of the meeting. The Crescent only gets one meeting per week and they must choose wisely if they wish to protect someone and risk their own life, or offer someone as a failsafe sacrifice. (i.e. "I would like to protect X" versus "should X be chosen by the Corrupted, I would like to substitute Y.")

When the Signs seek to summon the Crescent, a portal will appear when they finds themselves alone. Upon entering the portal, they will be brought into a tea room where the Signs are waiting for them. When their visit in the room concludes and they choose to exit, the portal will disappear. The Crescent will find that no matter how long they spent in the tea Room, no time has elapsed outside of the portal.

Additional notes:
The Crescent will be allowed to ask questions about the ongoings of the game and communicate with the Signs in their weekly meetings. They will be able to also receive small hints in the game should they perform well, including game mechanics, locations and more. However, the information received will be up to the Signs' discretion.

Good day, Sol. How goes our efforts?

Milla, hey. [They seem comfortable enough with her they aren't on edge, at least.] I think the universe mostly approved of some things...does that count?

I think that, perhaps, that is the best we can expect, for now.

Shall we start immediately? We can share as much as we are individually allowed--oh!

[She suddenly frowns, brows knitting.]

I can't believe I didn't include a clause for questioning. We can only hope that successfully transfers under the prior agreements.

Do you think we really need a clause for questioning? What would that even be?

[i.e. what is that, Sol's an idiot.]

Something that mentions the potential for questioning would have been a good place to start... an addition to what we already agreed to. But if that requires a further agreement, so be it.

You mentioned you were interested in my own story. Was there anything in particular?

We can figure it out as we go. But yeah, I am. There's a couple of things. [There's a nod.] I guess...you're not really human, are you? Where did you come from? Do you know?

No, I am not. I am the lord of spirits, Maxwell, although my full name is Milla Maxwell.

My origin, however, is unique among spirits. I was born as a human being, created by my predecessor, the original Maxwell.

Are you human, Sol?

[Oh. Well that's something.]

It's an honor to meet a lord. [There's a grin, but also they're a little serious. There's a pause...but they shake their head.]

No. I'm not. I think we might be a little similar.

I am equally honored to have met you, Sol. [She smiles, tilting her head.]

Is that so? I would like to know a little bit about your own origin, if you are able.

[Hm...about that.]

It's a little complicated. It's nothing like being born human and then turning into a spirit or anything, but...it was definitely an accident. It took a long time to figure out where I came from and where I was supposed to go after that.

[It's stated somewhat suspiciously, but she supposes that is on purpose. There's a moment of consideration, before she nods.]

I see. So, although your creation was not necessarily on purpose, you were able to discover your reason for being.

I suppose it's none of my business, but what would you define yourself as?

[It's definitely on purpose, but it's due to being wary of the universe censoring them anyway =\ Though so far it seems alright.]

...someone from the dark, maybe. And reconnecting with the light let me become whole again and find out what I was supposed to do. Does that make sense?

[It's a little convoluted. She closes her eyes, picturing the the concepts in her mind—and finally, nods.]

As much as I am able, given the information you have provided me so far. Were you perhaps successful in finding the light that had cast your shadow in the first place?

Yeah. It took a little while longer, and I didn't want to go at first...but eventually I found it and everything got better for everyone else. The light was really important.

That's wonderful, Sol.

It's not a bad idea if we'll be working together. [...hmm...] Tell me a little more about your world? And the people there. You had friends, right?

I did. I will tell you about everyone that I hold to be important to me.

In Rieze Maxia, the world I was born in as a human, I have six... perhaps seven people, now, who I think about a great deal. Six are people I traveled and traded experience with, while another is someone I grew to respect through battle and ideal. I would call these humans my dear friends.

In the spirit realm, I have, of course, the four elemental Great Spirits—and another great spirit, who once served to protect a great barrier. These spirits... they are friends, but also a sort of family.

Who would you care to hear of first?

[Two sets of important people. They seem fascinated by that and there's a pause as they choose.]

Tell me about the spirits first. And then the humans. Especially if the spirits were more like a family in some ways.

An excellent choice. [Either choice would have invoked the same answer. But anyway.]

When I was first created as Maxwell, and for the next twenty years of my life, I was assisted and seen to by the four Great Spirits of Rieze Maxia: Efreet, spirit of fire, Sylph, spirit of wind, Undine, spirit of water, and Gnome, spirit of earth. Thanks to their care, I did not want for anything. Their powers guided my blade, flew me through the sky, nurtured and cared for me. I grew up healthy and strong.

I suppose an apt human comparison would be similar to a kind of guardians—and I was blessed with four.

Later, I made the acquaintance of the Great Spirit of the barrier, Muzét. She correlated our relationship to that of "sisters", and thus, that is how I imagine her now. Although the nuances are very different, and we have fought battles against each other, as well as shared different ideologies, I do still see her as someone dear to me. After all, do human families not also fight?

That sounds kind of nice. Having that many people looking after you. [It must be nice actually and they wonder if at least there's a happy ending in there somewhere.] They made you stronger then, didn't they? And you were helping them.

[There's a pause though at the mention of Muzét and fighting because, haha, that's something to consider.] From what I know, human families fight and sometimes friends have to fight each other, too.

What were the different ideologies in this case?

It truly was, and I look back upon our time together during my human years very fondly. I do not think I really appreciated then what I had in the Four. They not only made me stronger, but they helped me to grow into the person I desired to be—which, in turn, changed them, as well. I treasure them beyond words.

[She chuckles, nodding.] Yes, absolutely. I have witnessed it myself many times. As for our ideologies... well, perhaps it's simplest to say that she believed she needed someone to follow, whereas I have always believed we must walk our own path.

[This is putting it extremely nicely.]

[Wow this sounds kind of familiar, and given by the fact that there's another pause it's a little obvious Sol is thinking again.]

I think everybody has the possibility of changing everyone else. But I get it. ...the people who helped me out a lot when I was born changed, too, I think. Even if we didn't always understand each other. But they're the best.

[There's fondness in the tone, and also a little sadness. But it's easy enough to move on.] I get that some people need orders to stay on track with things, but who was actually right in that situation? Could there only be one right answer?

An excellent question, Sol.

Although we believed our answer to be correct, that did not necessarily mean that my sister and her companion did not also have a viable solution to the problem we faced.

It was a matter of conviction, and whose was strongest.

[except, you know, with fighting.]

You seem to be relating to my story quite a bit. Why don't you tell me a little more of your own relations, such as they may be?

[That also sounds sort of familiar and so there's a nod.] It worked out in the end, didn't it? You were the strongest.

[But right. They're supposed to be trading stories so…there's a pause as he thinks of what to say here.]

…I wasn't raised by spirits or anything like that, but when I was born I didn't have any memories of where I came from or who I was supposed to be. I was found right after that and taken to live with others like me. One person in particular was put in charge of teaching me everything I needed to know in order to help with their goals. We were all working toward the same thing to help us find answers.

About a week after that, someone else just like me joined us, too. We became friends and started to work together, but even though we were the same, we were different. [Whatever that means.] She learned about her past sooner than I did and realized what we were working for wasn't the only way. I had to get stronger to leave and find the answer myself…and fighting her and leaving behind our other friend was the only way. It took a while, but eventually I met someone who guided me right where I was supposed to go. After that...it was just about going forward.

Yes, we were—and together, all of us proved our point quite effectively. [With well-placed punches!!!

For Sol's side, at least, she settles, nodding along as he speaks. She is more than happy, after all, to simply be facilitating conversation.]

It sounds like you were made to grow up before your time, Sol. You've always struck me as particularly mature, and this simply confirms it.

You have grown beyond the challenges that have been issued to you. In a way, you are the perfect guide for us, here in this place.
