As The Crescent:
Every Monday, the Crescent will meet with the Signs and be given the opportunity to grant one other player immunity for the week. This immunity will allow the player to live for that week even if they are chosen as a victim by the Corrupted.

Should the Crescent choose to protect someone and that person is selected as a victim, however, the Crescent's name will be provided as the victim and they will die in that week to protect the chosen player.

The Crescent will also be allowed to submit a name for a victim in order to protect someone else. If they are concerned that someone they wish to protect will be chosen by the Corrupted, they may enact a trade to sacrifice another player. While there is no guarantee that the name they've offered will be chosen, this action will earn favor among the Signs.

The choice must be made at the time of the meeting. The Crescent only gets one meeting per week and they must choose wisely if they wish to protect someone and risk their own life, or offer someone as a failsafe sacrifice. (i.e. "I would like to protect X" versus "should X be chosen by the Corrupted, I would like to substitute Y.")

When the Signs seek to summon the Crescent, a portal will appear when they finds themselves alone. Upon entering the portal, they will be brought into a tea room where the Signs are waiting for them. When their visit in the room concludes and they choose to exit, the portal will disappear. The Crescent will find that no matter how long they spent in the tea Room, no time has elapsed outside of the portal.

Additional notes:
The Crescent will be allowed to ask questions about the ongoings of the game and communicate with the Signs in their weekly meetings. They will be able to also receive small hints in the game should they perform well, including game mechanics, locations and more. However, the information received will be up to the Signs' discretion.

[On Monday of Week 0, the Crescent will find themselves drawn into a portal that brings them into the tea room. On the long, low black table in the center of the room, they'll find one scroll containing a summary of the basic information above.

When they look up, Sol and Lune will be present and available for questions.]

[She looks back and forth between the two, rolling the scroll up in her hands.

Well.

There's the other boot. Shoe. Whatever.]

I suppose I'll start with you.

If I am to protect others, I need to know what, exactly, I am protecting them from.

[tothemaxwell]

[After posing the question to Sol, she turns, and points at Lune.]

Same question. What am I protecting people from?

[How much contrarian behavior does she potentially have to suffer.]

[cyclists]

At this point in time, we cannot say. As I'd mentioned to others, I have reason to believe that where there lies unrest, danger will also approach.

However given that we do not know what the form that danger will take -

There is not yet a need to call upon your services.

Hopefully there is never a need to do so.

[cyclists]

Potential danger. [There's a lingering pause.] We don't know how, exactly, it might show up, but the fact that there's a disturbance here is enough for Lune and I to believe it may change into something that could require protection.

So far that hasn't happened yet. But we wanted to meet with you anyway.

[tothemaxwell]

In my experience, that makes it seem all the more likely that there will be just cause.

Let's say that, in the future, something happens. Is there any way to make a preemptive strike on such a disturbance, rather than wait for it to come to us?

[cyclists]

We hope so. If we have an ability to track the disturbance and see where it's attempting to manifest, we can stop it then. That's where you come in. With your ability, we can at least put in some precautions.

[tothemaxwell]

Hmph. [She crosses her arms, considering. No point in giving Lune the same response.]

I notice you both have different symbols. Do you have differing abilities?

[tothemaxwell]

If such a time does come, I will not hesitate in putting these abilities to use.

In the meantime, do you have any recommendations for preparation? It always pays to be cautious.

[cyclists]

That is correct. The young one and I possess a number of differences - it would not make sense for the two of us to possess the same skillset.

[cyclists]

Get to know people. See who can protect themselves and who might need a little extra help. With all of your abilities taken from you everybody's starting at the beginning.

But that doesn't mean everyone's helpless.

[tothemaxwell]

No, I suppose not.

Can you summarize your abilities and skills for me? It could be pertinent to consider.

[tothemaxwell]

I agree completely. Even without my artes, I will still work to protect those around me as I always have—and I will not go down without a fight.

I will seek out those who may be of assistance in that regard.

[hmm]

Incidentally, are you a deity yourself?

[cyclists]

I suppose to begin - the young one and I possess some modicum of control over some details of this village, and we are able to oversee what happens within it.

As for others...

[there is a thoughtful pause]

I do not believe they are relevant to your needs at this time.

[cyclists]

Thank you, Milla. [But that's an interesting question and they shake their head.] It's not like that. Lune and I were given extra abilities to help everyone, but we're not really gods or anything. I don't know what we are.

[tothemaxwell]

[She nods sympathetically.]

I understand. A powerful being, tasked with assisting those in their charge.

Then, I will do what I can to help and protect yourself and Lune as well, Sol.

[tothemaxwell]

Fair enough, although I hope you'll cooperate with me as things do become relevant.

In the meantime... are you saying that you can change physical aspects of the village, as well as hold a potentially omniscient power over it?

[She pauses, and chuckles.]
