What did you do when it was "quiet"? Just sit around all day?

No. Rather, we were looking for additional guidance and answers.

But it is true that the young one and I talked about a great number of things as we did so.

I do not know if I could call it small. Some items a bit less grand, but certainly other topics that were medium and large in size.

I do not know if we could sustain our relationship as two people called upon by the universe if we only discussed the weather.

[specialdog]

[ akane snickers at the wording of topics being 'medium and large in size,' then tries to hide it by taking a sip of that tea... ]

Do you control the weather?

Summer. Or spring.

Anything but snow.

Mm, I do not know if the farm would last in the snow either.

Very well, then if it is within my grasp, this land will not see a day of snow.

Ah, yes. They are quite a fickle thing, are they not?

To be known by one name or another - they serve only a purpose to others to have a way to know you... but it can tell them very little about you at the same time.

[specialdog]

But there are also things names can specifically convey... Like nicknames between friends or family.

... And then there's names that you choose for yourself. [ that's what she's most interested in, at the moment. you weirdo. ]

You're curious as to why Sol and I have new names separate from what we answered to before?

Exactly!

I believe it to be a similar reason to why we are adorned with these robes - and we cannot yet show our faces to you.

[even if it's a little hard to say for sure]

For the sake of our current roles, who we used to be fails to matter.

Certainly - as much as I may. [it's not like they can suddenly remove the hood or anything but] What would you like to know?

May I ask questions about yourself as well?

Sure, that seems fair. Like a game.

I guess my first question is... How much control do you have over this village?

[cyclists]

A fair amount - within its confines, we are able to make adjustments as we see fit.

Could you make new buildings, or make changes to the buildings that exist?

[cyclists]

Oh? Do you have a request?

Not a big one, not anything like changing a building. I was just curious.

The only real request I have is that I wish I could charge my phone.

Ahh. Technology, is it?

You'd need... electricity? And cords...

[they seem to only barely really get the technical bit but at least it's not totally lost on them]

An outlet in the house I'm saying in and a charging cord would be reeeaaally nice. Then I could use my phone to take photos and tell time.

But I understand if you can't do that.
