[When Naminé enters the library, she'll find that Sol is sitting in a back corner. In front of them, there's a few things. First of all, there's a bowl that has two ice cream bars in it? They're, like, upside down so the handles are sticking up and they're still cold. There's also a plate with their leftover mochi. A stack of papers sits in front of them, along with what looks like a box of crayons?

And of course Naminé's offering drawing is in front of them. Their arms are folded on the table-top and their chin (hood?) rests on them as they wait.]

Your drawing's nice. [Nicer than dead bodies, at least.]

[whitewalls]

Thank you.

[ she walks over before sitting down, not even waiting to be told to. someone's dead, it's fine to skip some pleasantries. ]

What's all of this?

[cyclists]

[Thank god they can stop pretending to be polite. They use a hand to point at items on the table.]

I promised that next time we hang out, we'd have ice cream together. I just didn't think it'd be like this. [A point to the mochi.] Minato showed me that these taste even better with ice cream in them. [And a point to the art supplies.] And I thought maybe we could draw together while we talked.

[There's a reason they want to keep themselves busy, but this also seemed like a Naminé thing.]

[whitewalls]

... all of this sounds fine.

[ a distraction sounds nice, considering everything. it's not like they were expecting someone to die. ]

Want to have the ice cream first? Before it melts.

[cyclists]

Yeah. Here, take this one...[They turn the bowl to face her, offering one of the sticks before taking the other. They're also grabbing a piece of mochi and start hollowing it out with their hands before breaking a chunk of ice cream to shove into the mochi-pocket.]

You can probably eat them either way. Ice cream is best when it's by itself, but this way isn't bad either. [Mochi is improved by ice cream, but ice cream should be untouched. Sure.]

[whitewalls]

[ she watches him do this... and then repeats the action. if sol is going to do it, then so will she. ]

We can try it at the same time again.

[cyclists]

[Thanks Naminé. But there are now two ice cream-filled mochis and there's a nod as he picks one up.] Sounds good to me. Ready to try?

[whitewalls]

Okay. Three, two... one!

[ and she'll take a bite. ]

[cyclists]

[They do, too, but it's hard to see since #hood. But when the mochi appears in their hand again there's a large chunk missing so there's that.]

It's really cold, but it's still good. What do you think?

[whitewalls]

I like it. I'm not surprised Minato would come up with it.

[ she likes him a lot, despite him dragging her into bad ideas.

she'll take another bite. ]

[cyclists]

He seems pretty smart sometimes, doesn't he? [Sometimes.] But he's also kinda weird. [They'll finish the mochi in their hand.] He wanted to paint my face.

[whitewalls]

Is... that even possible?

[ she's kind of just imagining the paint going go the black void thing, which is a little funny. ]

[cyclists]

Not really. [But they sound amused all the same.] I don't think you guys can actually touch us or anything. But I didn't want to let him waste the paint trying either.

[Although Sol with cat whiskers would have been cute.]

[whitewalls]

What happens if we try?

[ naminé has no plans on attempting it because it seems rude, but she is curious. ]

[cyclists]

I haven't really thought about it. Maybe nothing. Or maybe the hoods would still work and keep us hidden.

[whitewalls]

[ she thinks about it ]

Can I try?

[ two seconds ago: it seems rude
now: well now i'm curious ]

[cyclists]

[It's a good question and one that gives Sol pause. The instinct is to find out an answer themselves, but they're not sure what may happen so it's hard to say.]

I don't know if it's really a good idea yet. The hoods are pretty deep anyway.

[whitewalls]

Maybe we can try later then? After some time has passed and you have more answers?

[ if the answer's still no she won't push for it further. ]

[cyclists]

[There's a quick nod, almost too-fast to be a calm answer.]

Yeah. We can try then. [...] I think...this is the universe's way of telling us that we have to be somebody else for a while.

[whitewalls]

... I understand. Sometime you have to, when you need to get something done.

[ whether you want to or not. ]

[cyclists]

Exactly. [There's a little relief in their voice then.] Why do you think that is anyway?

[whitewalls]

... I'm not sure.

I guess that sometimes... our own feelings will make things complicated, so we have to put them aside to accomplish a goal.

[cyclists]

I think that's what they wanted from us and it's why we can't do anything. Why we can't influence your choices.

But...we can talk to you whenever we want. So that's nice.

[whitewalls]

... that must be frustrating.

To be here with us, but not being able to really interfere besides that.

[cyclists]

...I hate it. Lune says that we can only do so much and I get it, but I don't like it. Somebody got hurt today and there was nothing we could have done to stop it.

[Shoving some ice cream into their hood, they seem to be eating before taking a sheet of paper and picking up a black crayon. ]

I don't know how long I can wait around waiting for them to answer us so we can help you.
