She is. She deserved a happy ending, too, just like the rest of us. [They don't clarify if "us" is the people they know or the people here, but maybe it doesn't make a huge difference. Black flowers are being drawn on the page now. This is apparently just a lot of places in the village but in black crayon and not great skill.]

Have you been practicing with your magic? [Speaking of capabilities.]

[ she makes a noise of affirmation at the happy ending, because she's sure that girl did.

I have. I'm not very good at it.

A lot of people aren't when they first start out, especially if they aren't used to magic. You're earth, right? [They know that much.] You might be able to learn a little more in the forest.

I kind of wish I got something else, but...

[ she'll place down the crayon so she can inspect her drawing ]

I hope I won't need to use it.

Even if it could be for something good? [A thought. But they lean over to also look at the drawing.]

That's because Axel's kind of a showoff. [No.] And that's not what I mean. They could help you train.

I want to stay as out of their way as I can, especially Axel.

I don't think you'd be in the way....they seem like the kind of people who might be okay with that. Have you asked?

Huh? Oh. [Shut. Down. But they seem to pull back in surprise and look down at their own paper.] Yeah, I guess. Maybe...[Reaching for a red crayon, they begin to scribble out something else.]

I don't really draw a lot because I don't know what to draw. [Starting off with that, their drawing actually starts to take shape and seems to be turning into a little animal of some kind. It's hard to tell what it is for now.] I'm not really creative like that.

[ she watches them work for a moment before going back to her own drawing ]

You seem to be doing fine from what I can see.

[The little red animal also seems to have small horns coming out of their head now.]

Maybe. [An amused tone, because they don't entirely agree but at least it's something they can do together.] It's been a long time since I've been able to do stuff like this. So...thanks for coming.

[That's fine, because the little creature kind of maybe looks like a goat man? Or, like, the scribbles of what might be a goat man. Sol absolutely does not have artistic skill.]

...what do you mean? [The implications of that aren't really great.]

It's nothing bad... I just went back to where I should be.
