Axel's probably having an easier time with his.

That's because Axel's kind of a showoff. [No.] And that's not what I mean. They could help you train.

I want to stay as out of their way as I can, especially Axel.

I don't think you'd be in the way....they seem like the kind of people who might be okay with that. Have you asked?

[ she'll grab another crayon. yellow this time. ]

...you should. You might be surprised. [They're just watching her color at this point.]

[ she'll point at his paper ]

You could add color.

Huh? Oh. [Shut. Down. But they seem to pull back in surprise and look down at their own paper.] Yeah, I guess. Maybe...[Reaching for a red crayon, they begin to scribble out something else.]

I don't really draw a lot because I don't know what to draw. [Starting off with that, their drawing actually starts to take shape and seems to be turning into a little animal of some kind. It's hard to tell what it is for now.] I'm not really creative like that.

[ she watches them work for a moment before going back to her own drawing ]

You seem to be doing fine from what I can see.

[The little red animal also seems to have small horns coming out of their head now.]

Maybe. [An amused tone, because they don't entirely agree but at least it's something they can do together.] It's been a long time since I've been able to do stuff like this. So...thanks for coming.

I didn't think I'd be able to do something like this again, so... it's no problem, Sol.

[That's fine, because the little creature kind of maybe looks like a goat man? Or, like, the scribbles of what might be a goat man. Sol absolutely does not have artistic skill.]

...what do you mean? [The implications of that aren't really great.]

[ she will accept the small goat man. ]

It's nothing bad... I just went back to where I should be.

I'm not really sure how to explain... it's a little complicated.

[ she stops coloring for a second to inspect what she has. ]

The easiest way is... I had to go away somewhere in order to help someone very important.

[Another peek at her drawing then, and it helps to delay the reply.]

It must have been a really big deal. [That sounds sort of sad.] When do you get to come back?

[ axel said they were trying to get her back but

she wouldn't blame them if they took their time. ]

I hope it's soon. [Coloring...] It might not seem like much, but being here means you can do other things now, at least.

... it's a little extra time. It's nice.

Every day counts for something...even the bad ones like this. I don't know if anybody else would really agree though. I don't think I would have at first.

[whitewalls]

... no one likes bad days. But they still happen, so we have to make the most of them.

And that's why we're here. [...they reach for the blue crayon and starts to draw a blue, wispy thing.]

...they're still memories, and even if they're bad, they're ours. That's what I have to keep telling myself sometimes.
