[There's...a tired, sort of bitter laugh.] Somehow I doubt it. But as long as they're not yelling at Lune and they'll listen to him, I can handle it.

... it's not very fair. In a way, your position is more unfortunate than ours.

Maybe...it's pretty frustrating because everything I could do to even try to help, I can't have anymore. [It's a quiet kind of admittance.] So I don't know what I'm really supposed to do but try to find answers on our own.

Yeah. Something like that. [AHAH.] They're...very important to me. So I have to do my best even if it means doing things I don't know if they'll be able to forgive me for later.

Try telling that to everybody else out there. [They chew on the cookie...slowly...because it's hard.] How do I know they would be?

I think that... you'd just have to put your faith in your connection with them.

I do, but...it's kinda complicated, never mind. [Crunch.] I have to finish what I've started here to make sure they'll be safe.

...it is, but...I don't think even my friends know what it is. [Surprise binch.]

...Lune and I have things we were doing on our own before we came here. If things don't go right here, I'm not sure we'll be able to leave and I can't let that happen. But...I don't know if I can ask for help on something like this either.

Does that make sense? [He's comfortably speaking, but he's not sure if she realizes what he's saying or who he is.] I don't like keeping secrets, but what about if it would only make things worse? Is that allowed?

[He shakes his head.] I don't know if it would.

...but we should focus on stuff here, shouldn't we? Three people is a lot to lose.

I wasn't expecting the number to jump so drastically.

Neither did I. That's the worst part. [Cookie crumbs end up falling from his hood but whatever.] It means that something else went really wrong.

Will the number just keep getting larger every week? I don't think we'd last very long if it does.

[cyclists]

I don't know about that. But...if we don't stop everyone that's been corrupted, the number won't be getting any smaller either. That's why we have to work really hard.

[whitewalls]

Do you have any idea how long we'll have to keep doing this before it starts having any effect?

[cyclists]

We're going to try and find other places to reach out to. More gateways and stuff? If we find places that have a lingering darkness, we can clear them out and help stabilize the core some more. But I don't know how long that can take.

[whitewalls]

[ don't know how long... hopefully they're not all killed off before then. ]

How does stabilizing them work, anyway?

[cyclists]

When you purge the darkness from someplace, it helps add a little more light and stability to the core so it can reach out to other worlds. [So. That might sound familiar.] Lune and I are trying to find more places the corruption has spread to so we have a better chance of working against it.

[whitewalls]

[ oh. yeah, that makes sense.

Is there anything else we can do to help stop it spreading?

Um...[God. Help.] That's another thing Lune and I are trying to find. It has to be you guys.

[He just...kind of rubs the back of his head.] Sorry. We're not really good at this.
