I wasn't expecting the number to jump so drastically.

Neither did I. That's the worst part. [Cookie crumbs end up falling from his hood but whatever.] It means that something else went really wrong.

Will the number just keep getting larger every week? I don't think we'd last very long if it does.

I don't know about that. But...if we don't stop everyone that's been corrupted, the number won't be getting any smaller either. That's why we have to work really hard.

[whitewalls]

Right...

Do you have any idea how long we'll have to keep doing this before it starts having any effect?

[cyclists]

We're going to try and find other places to reach out to. More gateways and stuff? If we find places that have a lingering darkness, we can clear them out and help stabilize the core some more. But I don't know how long that can take.

[whitewalls]

[ don't know how long... hopefully they're not all killed off before then. ]

How does stabilizing them work, anyway?

[cyclists]

When you purge the darkness from someplace, it helps add a little more light and stability to the core so it can reach out to other worlds. [So. That might sound familiar.] Lune and I are trying to find more places the corruption has spread to so we have a better chance of working against it.

[whitewalls]

[ oh. yeah, that makes sense.

Is there anything else we can do to help stop it spreading?

[cyclists]

Um...[God. Help.] That's another thing Lune and I are trying to find. It has to be you guys.

[He just...kind of rubs the back of his head.] Sorry. We're not really good at this.

We'll figure it out.

Thanks. [He shoves the rest of his cookie half into his mouth.]

But until then...what do you wanna do? We have a little bit of time before tomorrow gets bad again.

I want to meet your cow friend.

[ INTRODUCE HER ]

Oh. [Oh my god.] The farm's not far. We can go right now. I should check on him anyway. We can take him a treat, too.

[This is before he has been informed cows are girls and not boys.]

Great. What do cows like to eat?

Ah...[iit: two kids who have never dealt with a cow. She's much nicer than Axel who later burst his bubble.] Grass, usually. But maybe he'd like apples? Swift Wind seems to like them a lot.

[And he'll summon two apples out of thin air, handing one to her.]

Come on. We can walk...it won't take long.

Alright. Lead away.

[To the barn they go! It's a quick walk and Sol's keeping a decent pace for Naminé to follow. It's a comfortable sort of silence, and by the time they get to the farm land Naminé will see one (1) cow waiting for them at the fence.

Sol has visited this cow enough times now that it knows him on sight.]

Sorry I'm late...but I brought a friend. [This is to the cow. Come along, Naminé, to the fence we go.]

Oh! S-- he's so cute.

[ did she just stop herself from calling ushi a girl? yes. anyway. ]

[This is why Sol is the dumbest Sora. But anyway. The cow moos, turning her head toward Naminé.]

He kinda is. [Sol reaches out to pat the cow on the nose, standing on his toes to do so before climbing up onto the fence.] I'm not sure how, but Tsuru ended up meeting a couple of the animals here right away.

I guess he just had a way with animals?

[Have I ever said I hate this? But the cow is receptive to pets and Sol seems pleased.]

Maybe. I don't know who was taking care of them before we got here. Maybe they weren't even here? [A shrug.] The animals seem used to this place though.
