Ah...[iit: two kids who have never dealt with a cow. She's much nicer than Axel who later burst his bubble.] Grass, usually. But maybe he'd like apples? Swift Wind seems to like them a lot.

[To the barn they go! It's a quick walk and Sol's keeping a decent pace for Naminé to follow. It's a comfortable sort of silence, and by the time they get to the farm land Naminé will see one (1) cow waiting for them at the fence.

Sol has visited this cow enough times now that it knows him on sight.]

Sorry I'm late...but I brought a friend. [This is to the cow. Come along, Naminé, to the fence we go.]

[ did she just stop herself from calling ushi a girl? yes. anyway. ]

[This is why Sol is the dumbest Sora. But anyway. The cow moos, turning her head toward Naminé.]

He kinda is. [Sol reaches out to pat the cow on the nose, standing on his toes to do so before climbing up onto the fence.] I'm not sure how, but Tsuru ended up meeting a couple of the animals here right away.

I guess he just had a way with animals?

[Have I ever said I hate this? But the cow is receptive to pets and Sol seems pleased.]

Maybe. I don't know who was taking care of them before we got here. Maybe they weren't even here? [A shrug.] The animals seem used to this place though.

I guess... that might depend on if this place existed or not before you and Lune were brought here.

[ oh, she likes this cow. ]

That's the part I'm trying to figure out. [The cow is 100% ignoring Sol now to focus on this nice girl instead.] It had to have if it was already unstable when we got here. But where did it really come from?

Like... was it a world that had people at some point?

[ although if it was then... where are those people...,,, ]

Uh huh. The way I understand it is that this is the heart of the universe, and it will replace the old heart. But that doesn't explain where it came from or how it reached all of you.

Well... sometimes a call can reach very far, if it's heartfelt enough..

[ she scratches behind ushi's ear. ]

Anyway...[He shakes his head, sort of at a loss for words. He seems to be trying to decide what he wants to say, but in the end he holds out a hand with the apple on it so that Ushi will take it. This is before anyone informs him animals shouldn't eat apple cores.]

[ sol has tried to kill both swift wind and ushi

but she smiles when ushi takes the apple. she'll wait until she's done with that one before handing over the one in her own hand. ]

Anyway. [A nod. He's...desperately trying to think of something to say that isn't so damn depressing, help.] ...we should bring a snack when we go to the beach.

... what kind of snack do you think is good?

[This is a trick question because the immediate answer is:]

Watermelon. They're kinda heavy to carry though, so maybe something lighter.

Good. [He looks back to the cow.] ...there are some neat tidepools with crabs and starfish and stuff, too. It'll be a good day.

[ she glances at sol, smiling.

Whenever you want. My schedule's probably more free than yours anyway. [It's because Naminé's a good girl.

Ushi, however, is looking for more apples.] Unless it cuts into Ushi's dinner, apparently.
