Uh huh. The way I understand it is that this is the heart of the universe, and it will replace the old heart. But that doesn't explain where it came from or how it reached all of you.

[ she scratches behind ushi's ear. ]

Anyway...[He shakes his head, sort of at a loss for words. He seems to be trying to decide what he wants to say, but in the end he holds out a hand with the apple on it so that Ushi will take it. This is before anyone informs him animals shouldn't eat apple cores.]

[ sol has tried to kill both swift wind and ushi

but she smiles when ushi takes the apple. she'll wait until she's done with that one before handing over the one in her own hand. ]

Anyway. [A nod. He's...desperately trying to think of something to say that isn't so damn depressing, help.] ...we should bring a snack when we go to the beach.

... what kind of snack do you think is good?

[This is a trick question because the immediate answer is:]

Watermelon. They're kinda heavy to carry though, so maybe something lighter.

Like a cantaloupe? [That is a small melon.] I bet we can find small ones out here. Melon and...something salty, maybe.

[ she smiles ]

I think we can manage that.

[cyclists]

Good. [He looks back to the cow.] ...there are some neat tidepools with crabs and starfish and stuff, too. It'll be a good day.

[whitewalls]

... yeah. I can't wait.

[ she glances at sol, smiling.

she should probably say something but... not today. ]

[cyclists]

Whenever you want. My schedule's probably more free than yours anyway. [It's because Naminé's a good girl.

Ushi, however, is looking for more apples.] Unless it cuts into Ushi's dinner, apparently.

[whitewalls]

Sorry, Ushi!

[ she hands over the apple with one hand, and then gives pets with the other. ]

What a good... boy.

Yeah. He is. [Sol is happy with this cow.] ...I'm pretty sure someone else is probably looking after the chicken, but I like coming out here anyway. It's quieter.

[whitewalls]

It's pretty peaceful.

[ she watches ushi munch the apple. ]

Maybe you could be a farmer.

[cyclists]

I doubt it. I don't know anything about plants. [Or animals, apparently.] But we didn't really have places like this, so...it's kinda nice.

[whitewalls]

You're already learning.

[ tomorrow, sol learns about cyanide poisoning ]

Maybe it can be a future goal?

[cyclists]

Maybe. [A pat to Ushi's nose.] ...but I have other goals in mind first. But maybe someday.

... will those goals take long?

[ sol, who is most definitely not roxas, what are you doing ]

[cyclists]

[There's a pause.]

...I don't know yet. [Please don't ask hard questions, Naminé.] But I hope not.

[whitewalls]

I hope not either.

When everything's over, I can. But this place is just another stop along the way. After this, I can try again. And when that's over? Maybe I'll start a farm.

[It's kind of a joke, there is literally nowhere to put a farm in Twilight Town.]
