Comets

Comets will be called on by Sol and Lune only when they need someone eliminated. Murders must not be made outside of their knowledge and the Comets will not be able to refuse an assignment. Sometimes Comets may be asked to work together, but often times they will have to act alone. However, both Comets must be in attendance when the Signs have an assignment.

When the Signs seek to summon Comets, a portal will appear when a Comet finds themselves alone. Upon entering the portal, they will be brought into a tea room where the Signs are waiting for them. When their visit in the room concludes and they choose to exit, the portal will disappear. Comets will find that no matter how long they spent in the tea Room, no time has elapsed outside of the portal.

Outside of Sign-requested kills, Comets may participate in the game as normal including fulfilling their objectives and using their gifts.

Comets will be able to kill without being put on trial so long as it is a Sign-ordered kill. Any kills Comets make outside of a request are eligible for trial.

What does this mean? This means that Comets will be able to kill without leaving behind any incriminating evidence, and if they are voted for in-trial during a week in which they kill they will not be executed. However, they will become more vulnerable in the following week and be on the list of victims for the following week.

Comets will also be able to receive access to additional tools for murders should Sol and Lune see fit.

Additional notes:
The Comets will be allowed to ask questions about the ongoings of the game and communicate with the Signs in their weekly meetings. They will be able to also receive small hints in the game should they perform well, including game mechanics, locations and more. However, the information received will be up to Sol and Lune's discretion.

WEEK 2

[cyclists]

[On Tuesday of week 2, both Comets will find themselves drawn into a portal that brings them into the tea room. On the long, low black table in the center of the room, they'll find...nothing.

When they look up, Sol and Lune will be present and available for questions.]

Does this mean there's less of a chance for corruption to take hold of someone this week?

[ Someone's kind of nervous. ]

[cyclists]

It's possible. [How to explain...] With Tokidoki, we were able to get a sense of where the darkness would go. This week when Lune and I looked, we didn't see anything new.

[forefall]

I would like to see that as good news, but I've just been... feeling a bit more on edge lately.

[cyclists]

Oh...[Yeah, that's...fair.] Because of this? Or something else? [A pause.] How can I help?

[forefall]

.... Both. [ She can't quite pinpoint it. It's more than that, but it's at least both. ] I don't know. I wish I knew the right thing to ask you.

[ ... ]

Is it only food you can conjure?

[ from his cloak of holding ]

[cyclists]

Take your time. We're both stuck here for a while. [They shake their head though.] I can make other things, but they can't be too big. Are you thinking of something specific?

[stillstands]

[ ... she can't say she's not glad to see no names here, but at the same time the fact they know there's a corrupted they didn't catch running around the place doesn't make her feel any better. ]

You couldn't track down the person we didn't catch on Saturday?

[ ... ]

I had another question as well. [ But first thing's first. ]

[cyclists]

[She's not going to like this, but:]We're no longer in a position to interfere with that. It's up to you to find them and deal with them now. [That's the gist of what they got from things, anyway.]

What's the other question?

[stillstands]

If you'd been able to track them down in the first place, we could have dealt with it earlier, have one less uncorrupted person dead and no unknown corrupted running around the place like a loose canon. You can take that back to whoever you're reporting to.

[ ... ]

If we have an idea of who has what powers it might be a good idea. Or even just... a number distribution of what elements are left in play, if you can't be so specific. I can narrow things down myself based on what I already know.

[cyclists]

[What if they just. Ignore all of that. Because they're also pissed at how things are going? Cool.]

I think you're misunderstanding how we can track anything, but okay. I'll let them know.

[They shake their head.] I can't give you a full listen of who has what powers. That's still interfering. [They fold their arms over their chest.] I can tell you one thing that might help though. All of your numbers started out even. There were thirty-two of you, and four elements. I think you can work from there, can't you?

[stillstands]

If there's going to be more than one corrupted a week, you're asking all of us to work harder to find more people. And there's far more at risk when voting.

So I'm asking the same of if not you, whoever it is that's helping and guiding you. [ sounds fair to her. ]

That's more than enough - knowing that we were even split. I can work with that.

[cyclists]

...we're working as hard as we can, but there are some things where my hands and Lune's hands are tied. I'm sorry if that's unfair, but it's unfair to us, too. We're doing what we can, but this week we weren't able to sense anything new. That's all.

[But there's a nod.] I figured you'd be able to work backwards. Keep that in mind, it might help.

[ Are you goddamn ready Lune, because when Miki settles herself down she looks pissed. ]

Why are Nana and Junna dead?

[ coming out swinging. ]

[cyclists]

When the young one and I are able to determine who the corruption might target, it would appear that we are not able to leash all of the corruption.

[stillstands]

So instead of ending up with one dead person, we ended up with four.

[ pointed. ]

[cyclists]

Yes - that is how the events of this past week unfolded.

[lune is calm as always,]

And if you had not acted, it may have been five or greater.

[stillstands]

[ take an unchill pill, lune. ]

And if we'd been able to find out, it may have been three or less.

... What are all the powers at play? Can you tell me?

[ Maybe a slightly less contentious question than Miki's. ]

Hmm... In exchange for your service, I believe I will be able to inform you of two of the other powers.
