Comets

Comets will be called on by Sol and Lune only when they need someone eliminated. Murders must not be made outside of their knowledge and the Comets will not be able to refuse an assignment. Sometimes Comets may be asked to work together, but often times they will have to act alone. However, both Comets must be in attendance when the Signs have an assignment.

When the Signs seek to summon Comets, a portal will appear when a Comet finds themselves alone. Upon entering the portal, they will be brought into a tea room where the Signs are waiting for them. When their visit in the room concludes and they choose to exit, the portal will disappear. Comets will find that no matter how long they spent in the tea Room, no time has elapsed outside of the portal.

Outside of Sign-requested kills, Comets may participate in the game as normal including fulfilling their objectives and using their gifts.

Comets will be able to kill without being put on trial so long as it is a Sign-ordered kill. Any kills Comets make outside of a request are eligible for trial.

What does this mean? This means that Comets will be able to kill without leaving behind any incriminating evidence, and if they are voted for in-trial during a week in which they kill they will not be executed. However, they will become more vulnerable in the following week and be on the list of victims for the following week.

Comets will also be able to receive access to additional tools for murders should Sol and Lune see fit.

Additional notes:
The Comets will be allowed to ask questions about the ongoings of the game and communicate with the Signs in their weekly meetings. They will be able to also receive small hints in the game should they perform well, including game mechanics, locations and more. However, the information received will be up to Sol and Lune's discretion.

Take your time. We're both stuck here for a while. [They shake their head though.] I can make other things, but they can't be too big. Are you thinking of something specific?

...[The question is is it for her nails or to stab. But they can't really argue and so they wait and summon a nail file before holding it out to her. Please take it.]

[forefall]

[ not everyone is out to be stab all the time, sol?

Four takes it with a small smile. Her relief is almost palpable. ]

Thank you. I received clippers from the puzzle box everyone received, but I wanted... this, too.

[cyclists]

[Consider: people keep shoving swords in Sol's face.]

Sure. You can keep it, I don't think it's sharp enough to really do any damage or anything. But why clippers?

[forefall]

[ consider: tapping into the sunny side of your personality, sol ]

... Nail maintenance calms me down. I... get anxious, if I leave my nails alone for too long.

[cyclists]

[No =\

But there's a pause before there's a soft "oh" like they understand, and their hand disappears into their sleeve again. When it comes out, they're holding out a bottle of green nail polish. No, that's totally probably not what she meant but they're trying.]

THIS IS SO SAD THAT IT'S......... wasted on Four. She looks at the nail polish with surprise. It's not what she meant at all, and green nail polish wouldn't be her color of choice, but.....

Her expression softens, and she gingerly takes it. ]

[It's fine?? We can all accept that Sol is kind of a dumbass whose bark is usually worse than their bite. Four's taking it and that's all that matters, who cares what she does with it afterwards.]

It's not much, but...coloring's been sort of relaxing. I've been kind of doing it a lot myself lately. [So nail care + color = nail polish.] You kinda had it rough on Saturday anyway.

[forefall]

Coloring...?

[ Who have you been coloring with? What have you been coloring, Sol?

When either of the Signs give Four validation, an angel loses its wings. ]

Did... Did you really think so? I mean, it was a little frustrating, but I did my best.

[cyclists]

Yeah. Like...with crayons? [Leave them alone it's fine.]

Isn't that pretty much all we can do anyway? Our best. Even if it isn't what everyone wants, it still counts. Besides...I do think so. None of you deserve this and you were at a risk. I'd be kind of stressed, too.

[forefall]

[ Every time someone brings up a word she doesn't know, Four only nods and then moves on because acknowledging her ignorance is an exercise of frustration for her.

She looks at Sol as if she's seeing them for the first time... in a new light. ]

... Thank you, Sol. It is all we can do, given our circumstances. We can hope for the best but expect the worst.

[cyclists]

[Do we need to give Four a coloring book, because Sol will do that. Still...they seem to relax again when she speaks.]

You're thinking in the most logical way. [It's not logical at all.] If you hope for the best and expect the worst, you can focus and not worry about being throw off-guard and losing your footing. That's also important, don't you think? Staying focused on what you want to accomplish.

[ Is Sol trying to be Santa Claus. If only coloring could work as therapy for Four. ]

Yes, it is. Staying focused on your goals can only direct you there. It's how I try to operate.

[cyclists]

[Sol's doing something.]

What happens when your goals change though, Four? Does that happen at all for you?

[forefall]

[ She looks perplexed for a moment. ]

My goals have only been straightforward. I may gain new goals, but none of them have made me change any of my current ones. If your goals change that drastically, shouldn't you ask yourself why that happened? What is making you veer so off course... is it worth it?

That's how I would approach it.

[cyclists]

Maybe. But what if it's you who's making yourself veer off course? You learn ore about something, or you realize the goal you were working for isn't actually what you were promised? Is it still straightforward? Do you keep going because you've already gone so far in the current plan?

Those are things I wonder about.

[forefall]

[ Once you've gone that far, can you turn back?

That's a good question. ]

Is that what you've experienced?

...that's a story for another time, I think. If you want. [So yeah, kinda! Weird!] But nothing is ever straightforward in situations like these anyway.
