Death has never been a pretty thing, has it? Though some of you may have seen it coming, many of you have been taken by surprise in the last moments of your life.

Fortunately for you, it's not over yet.

The last thing you may remember is dying, but upon awakening you'll find yourself in what appears to be the meeting hall. Warmed by the ever-present fire, the room is empty and the voting box appears to be missing. In its place are three large panels hanging from the walls that allow the newly dead to peer into the lives of the living.

As you step out into the village, twilight has set in over the sleepy valley casting light and shadows as far as the eye can see. The same buildings appear to be here, all in the same order and with the same amenities. The sakura trees continue to bloom, the kitchen remains well-stocked, and the bell at the shrine echos. Likewise, the river flows through the village and the four elemental regions are found at the edges of the village.

The main difference, however, is the appearance of two additional huts that you don't recognize each bearing an emblem of a sun or a moon.

Make yourself comfortable. You'll be here for a while.

but tsuru just nods, although he looks relieved at seeing roxas show up. that's... good. better than what he was expecting. ]

[I hate that later he's just going to see Jiji being a walking shitpost and be so fucking tired, but for now...he just frowns.]

What's he doing now...? [Can someone PLEASE tell Roxas what Jiji even means, he does not flinch at all when Tsuru refers to him as "your jiji."]

He's doing what he does best-- whatever it is that he wants.

[ tsuru shouldn't sound as fond as he does when he says that ]

I should still be there with him. [Pouting...] We split up this morning to complete our mission, but maybe we shouldn't have.

Roxas, as much as I deeply care for the both of you, I think the two of you together would hinder our cause more than help it.

[doublebladed]

Yeah, maybe, but it still sucks! [Whine.]

I know. It was... difficult, watching that.

[ watching roxas die.

he's been watching everything unfold as calmly as he can, but to roxas, he'll admit that it hadn't been as easy as he's been acting. ]

And I'm not looking forward to what comes next.

[doublebladed]

[Pouting...sorry Tsuru. He can't imagine it was great, no.]

You have an idea how this is going to end, don't you?

... they should have taken him down when he was still at the citadel. He had less space to work with, so it would have been much easier to trap him, especially if they used their powers earlier.

[ he sighs. ]

I just hope they manage it before he kills any of them.

[doublebladed]

I can't say what they're thinking because I've only seen Ookurikara in combat. I never asked Jiji to spar because I don't think he would have said yes. [But that would have maybe been better.] There are still a few of them left. If they can outmatch him they might stand a chance, but...he's pretty strong on his own. That's the thing I'm worried about.

That's one of the five great swords, after all...

Still, even he's not unstoppable. He'll get tired eventually, or make a mistake, as long as they keep attacking him.

[ the problem is to not get taken out by him before that happens. ]

They need reinforcements, or another plan. Or North, maybe, since she's still out there somewhere. [...] How long do you think they have before Jiji wears himself out?

It depends. He's the type who won't stop until he can't move anymore if he's really set on something.

Which is why they really need to keep using their powers on him. He may be well practiced with a blade, but that's an addition that would still be new enough to him that he wouldn't be able to react to it as well. Especially if he hasn't been sparring with anyone while here.

[ that would mean he hasn't been practicing fighting against elemental powers. ]

Anything that'll slow him down helps.

[doublebladed]

[There's a nod.] Both of us had our strength here, but my powers were gone when we got to the village. We didn't receive any other kind of power besides what's been used in trials and Jiji's own specialty, and my ability to take away powers.

[In hindsight, maybe it's a good thing they didn't double up on everyone left.]

I don't know how much they've been practicing with their powers either. But I hope you're right and they think of that. ...I don't want them to hurt him unnecessarily, but whatever it takes, right?

[He...tries to reach up to pat Tsurumaru's shoulder but he's too tall, so...he lets his hand fall.]

It'll be okay. I made sure to tell the people who needed to hear it that Jiji and I wanted to be revived just like everyone else when this is over.

[ there's a pause, and he reaches into his pocket to pull out the ornament that mikazuki normally wears in his hair. ]

They better. I'd be a little displeased otherwise.

[doublebladed]

[...oh...soft.]

A little? [Tsuru please.]

... perhaps more than a little.

[doublebladed]

I don't think that group will let us down. All we can do now is keep watching.

[preowned]

... they wouldn't, no.

[ it's just unfortunate that won't really feel like a victory either, considering what it means ]

[doublebladed]

...it's almost over. [Thankfully.] We'll see the results soon.

[ he reaches over to pat his head again, but he'll keep it there this time. ]

[Thanks other Grandpa. He'll move a hand to pat Tsurumaru's that's on his head, but he's not pushing him away. Guess all they can do now is wait.]
