CYOA - WEEK THREE
WAKE THE GREAT SPIRIT
Without warning, sometime in the middle of the day of your Tuesday, you'll find yourself beckoned to the gateway. The cave that sits at the edge of the city beckons you, drawing you closer and closer until you find yourself entering it. The darkness envelops you and you know nothing but that you must walk one step in front of the other, one step in front of the other, one step -
Until you blink and there is suddenly stone beneath your feet, ruins in front of your eyes.

Thankfully, you aren't alone. There are five others with you as light filters from above, as though you're on the very floor of the ocean. Schools of fish might swim overhead, implying that you may be underwater but you don't feel the heaviness of the pressure at all.
A small cacophony of noises will arise as six floating orbs rest in the distance, flickering with light. There seems to be chatter there, but it'll take some adventuring closer in order to determine exactly what they might be.
Though the longer you wait, you may feel a rumble beneath your feet, like an earthquake.
And then the curious whirring of... mechanical gears?
... In truth, you might not want to linger here that long.

In this CYOA, characters have been set on a path in order to fight the corruption that lingers within the ruins of the lost continent of Mu. They'll be guided along as they get through the plants that have been corrupted along with a few former inhabitants of the gateway that is within. They'll be separated before congregating to face one final challenge together, and then hopefully be unceremoniously dumped back in the mingle after disappearing. They should ICly be gone for approximately six hours beginning on the afternoon of Tuesday.

He doesn't owe allegiance to anyone else but himself anyway. Gon is the plaything he wants to protect for entertainment's sake.
With the snakes, he'll try to swing out and get rid of at least one arm to stop any other missiles from being fired. Not the one Kara's standing on, though. IT'S FINE.]
no subject
But at least the snakes will immobilize the other arm from being able to shoot any more of its missiles - not that it needs them? It seems like that the green gem at the very top of its head is starting to emanate a rather dangerous-looking light, like it's powering up for something.
Inside the control pit of the golem, the people that they're seeing inside look rather lifeless and if they stare at them more intently, they look a bit... see-through. As if they're ghosts, or their souls have been ripped from their bodies?]

once he's back on his feet and the aftershocks are wearing off, kara notices the light from the gem. after shooting a frown at the control room, he braces himself and swings the sword at that gem. whatever it's doing can't be good, so getting mitsutada and sada out of there will have to wait. ]

While Kara goes for the headpiece, Hisoka takes up the run for the chest window by pulling himself forward when the sizzle is gone. He’s tempted to cut through it, thinking illusions, but... NO. Instead, he aims to use that sweet sashimi knife to cut across one edge along the bottom.
PLEASE OPEN CLOWNS.]

As for Hisoka, congratulations on opening up the center of the golem!
He's going to be greeted by the sound of sudden, piercing cries breaking through the cut, ringing rather offensively in his ears.]

Offended completely, he winces a moment. Really, he’d rather let it fall below considering it’s being more annoying now than aggressive... but he grapples the arms and shoulders of the thing with the snakes and tries to
steer it??? In the direction of the portal. Kara should probably hold on. But if it looks like it won’t make it, he’ll steer it toward the cliff.]
no subject
If he looks in, there's clearly a control panel. He'll just need to get the window open in order to actually properly steel the robot in the direction of the gate, rather than risking their further descent.
Kara has two eyes, maybe he can see it.
Sure, the thing is screaming, but look at Minato - he's doing great without an ear. Hearing is overrated.]
no subject
god. fine. since hisoka's handling the steering, it's up to him to figure out what's going on inside the... whatever this is. and maybe he can find a way to shut the thing up while he's at it? TIME TO FIND OUT. he's going to just... use this spirit sword to cut the window open the rest of the way and climb inside and see what we've got, then. ]
no subject
When Kara breaks the window open more and actually climbs in, it sort of clicks. Looks like controls. Hm.
The snakes keep the arms wrapped so they can’t move, but Hisoka absolutely Flying Graysons his way down into the little hatch on top of Kara. He kabedons the sword, notching himself along the edges and, despite the screaming??, he smiles.] Yo.
I guess we have to drive. Like the motorcycle.
no subject
Once that's done, that'll work.
The ghostly illusions they saw also manage to disappear, at least.]

Hope we don’t crash.
[While they are slowly plummeting. It’s fine.
He reaches in and pushes a few more prominent buttons If the screaming doesn’t stop after their button presses, he may just take a stab at the speaker to shut it up.......]
no subject
Considering the fact that it looks like the type of speaker that you! Speak into! Rather than stab! Wow, wonder what that's about!]
no subject
still seems like they might crash, though? hm. he presses another button or two to see if that stops their descent... and maybe now that they're not actively fighting he'll actually
look at the sword
and remember it can talk. ]
Oi - what do we do with this thing?
[ he kind of doesn't want to crash and die?? but as long as they're going in the right direction maybe they'll be okay. ]
no subject
He lets Kara at least converse with the spirit, but immediately after, he bends down some to the speaker. In a very typical lilting voice:]
Yo.
[Is anybody home??]
Hisoka and Ookurikara are here.
no subject
The last time that we faced this opponent, it was being maneuvered by two small children. I believe it responded to their commands, so if there is a destination you would like to opt for...
[Given the fact that Hisoka's sweet slide into the robot's proverbial DMs didn't do much.]
no subject
The gate.

The robot stalls for a second before it begins to power up again – and if the two care to look above, they’ll notice that the part that Kara cut through is already regenerated – and it will fly the two of them back over to the gate.
It opens for them in another gust and pulls them on through.
Nice.]
