[Sol's not quite sure what to think, truthfully, when the offering comes in. They ponder for a while before picking up the pin and heading out to wait.
As Hisoka and Shirasu approach the farmlands they'll find two things. One, Sol is seated on a fence and holding the sun pin in their hand. Two, they seem to be petting a cow. As the pair approach though they speak.]
[Don't get excited about Shirasu! What the heck. (That's fair.)] I have something for you. A and B. He wanted to tag along. [For a moment, he seems thoughtful.]
[Definitely don't get excited about Shirasu?? He's not entirely sure what to make of the way Sol perks up a bit, a brow slightly raised-- but he also isn't going to say anything about it, just shooting Hisoka a sidelong glance.]
[Why is Hisoka's wife so bossy? He turns a very faked pout in Shirasu's direction, and then he shrugs at Sol, defeated, the hand on his hip lifting with the motion.]
No hint, but... I guess you get B first.
[Thank Shirasu.] B is for "broker." [He smiles just a bit. Apparently, it's going to be Q&A time.] Isn't that what you are? We're a little curious for more after having played for a week.
If you answer our questions, I'll show you what A is. ♣
[Thank you god for Shirasu being here because if had just been Hisoka this might have gone much differently. As it is, Sol looks between both of them, trying to decide if they should listen or not. Hisoka has a point, they're sort of a broker for information, but simultaneously there's the risk that Hisoka's going to ask questions they don't have answers to yet.
And also, A is still unknown. In the end, they nod.]
It's possible. But okay. What do you want to know?
It'll help to remember that, yeah. [So that's kind of important.] The core...is brand new, which means it can be really easily influenced. That's why the disturbances Lune and I found are important to start tracking and finding a way to deal with them. When Lune and I first game here, we searched for weeks and checked places for a source or anything that might be causing the instability. I can't tell if the universe thought there was a better answer, or if they got impatient, because a while later you showed up.
Because of our role in all of this and because of what they've communicated to us, we aren't actively participating the same way you are. It's why we're messengers, sort of. But we have other things we're doing too.
[Hm...] Let's just say not fixing it is gonna end up with a lot more people like Mary and a lot more worlds that aren't stable. Do you really need an incentive for picking a plan?
[At this, Hisoka's golden, half-lidded eyes slowly slide to Shirasu. The look doesn't say anything at all. Well, at least not to Sol more than likely. There's no emotion in the glance particularly, just... a glance.
And then he looks back to Sol again.]
After being taken against our will, I don't think it's so bad to ask for compensation. Mm? A cake doesn't taste very good unless there's icing.
[Hm. That glance just gets a raised brow in turn, a one-shouldered shrug, before he turns his attention away from Hisoka again.]
I'm more concerned about the thought that perhaps some of us wouldn't have motivation to prevent that. If we may have to work against that as well, it'll be quite difficult to all be in agreement... after all, we don't know just what situations each of us come from.
[A few things happen. One: Sol seems to tense up at what Hisoka says. Two: they turn to the cow instead. ]
We'll catch up later, okay? [A pat to the cow's now and the cow moos, turning to amble off. ]
The thing is, all of you who were brought here have light and darkness in you. But that doesn't mean that everyone would want a good ending and to let the universe grow. [There's a pause.] What sort of prize are you hoping for? You obviously have something in mind.

[Oh. Light and darkness. He just thinks about the conversation Lea tried to have with him. Sheesh.]
I haven't decided what I could ask for without knowing if I could. [The smile is faint and somewhat wolfish.] You have a little predicament, too, don't you? What happened with Mary.
We're not the only ones who might not go along with your plan.
That's another thing I wanted to ask about, as well. I'd like to hope that what happened today is the end of it, but do you two have any idea if it might continue the same effort?
[If it happened once, it could very well happen again, after all.]
If so, it'll be quite the distraction from working together.
[He's also not mentioning what he wants, at least not in company; Shirasu has a feeling Sol might have a guess at part of it, at least.]
You're saying that it'll be hard to trust each other if any one of you could become corrupted. [That's obvious.] I can't say that what happened today won't happen again, but it's what we're working to avoid. If Lune and I can find a way to sense it before it manifests further, we can try to purify any of the corrupted before this happens again.
Isn't that just like asking if the universe itself wants to be corrupted? [...huh.] I think if there's a way to sense it, we'll be able to at least find a way to deal with it before someone corrupted can hurt someone else.
[But there's a huff.] When has anything important ever been easy anyway?
If the universe doesn't want to risk being corrupted, why then was it left up to us to potentially let it grow worse, when you two knew? We could very well have been wrong.
[He's just saying, he doesn't trust the universe to not pull that again.]
There's a better chance that we can find a way to detect it. When it lingered in that girl, we could sense it for days after. The universe has its own plans and that includes bringing people with capabilities Lune and I don't have here, and leaving us to be your guides.
The thing is...darkness itself isn't always bad. It's how you use it. That's why the universe will allow you to choose. [...] This was a bad case and I don't like it, but it doesn't change that you need both to survive. [Light. And darkness.]
Week 0 - Sunday post execution
As Hisoka and Shirasu approach the farmlands they'll find two things. One, Sol is seated on a fence and holding the sun pin in their hand. Two, they seem to be petting a cow. As the pair approach though they speak.]
I figured you'd want some privacy.

Hisoka glances at said cow, but doesn't exactly pay it a lot of mind. When he stops a few yards away, a hand settles on his hip.]
Yo. [Hm. You know what? He gives the cow a look again.] Yo. [And then his attention returns to Sol in full.]
I hope you don't mind me bringing a... friend.
no subject
[Can you hear the doubt in that tone, Hisoka. But he glances to Sol there, giving them a polite nod as he stands a yard or two apart from Hisoka.]
Pardon the intrusion, Sol-kun.

It's fine. Usually people come alone but...[A shrug.] I don't mind.
[They seem to be watching Hisoka though. Speak, clown. ]

[Don't get excited about Shirasu! What the heck. (That's fair.)] I have something for you. A and B. He wanted to tag along. [For a moment, he seems thoughtful.]
So which do you want first? A or B.
no subject
If you're still set on that, save it for later.
[This is exactly why he decided to come along.]

[Again, that is why Shirasu is here. But he'll shift, heading over to perch on one of the fenceposts-- not next to Sol, but not all that far away.]
After the last couple of days, I was hoping you might be a bit less restricted in what you're able to say about the situation.
no subject
And also, A is still unknown. In the end, they nod.]
It's possible. But okay. What do you want to know?
no subject
We want to know more about this place. The core of the universe, right? About how important it is to fix. If we help, then what?
Surely we get something in return for our hard work.
no subject
[A contemplative pause, there, while Shirasu considers.]
I've already been told not to count anything as an impossibility, considering where we are, but the workings of it are still a bit mysterious.

Will it really be so easy?

[It really does sound like an easier solution, which is exactly why he's a little hesitant to think it'd work that well.]
