[Goodbye clown. The trouble is that Sol's speed is just about as matched, swords behind them as they run even as they briefly lose sight when Hisoka launches himself into the air. They're aware of the trees around them, quickly dodging out of the way in a roll before springing back up onto their feet. As Hisoka leaps forward, Sol rushes ahead, immediately going for a first strike without bothering to wait. A swing to the side quickly followed by a swing overhead and just as quickly throwing their weight to bound back just a step.
Doesn't seem like they're too afraid of the repercussions.]
The form of his body bends. Like with Ookurikara, he drops hastily backward to dodge, his waist and abs keeping him from bowling over when his head swings in the direction of his calves. It’s very close. He can feel the wind of it go by, hear the cut of the blade.
Quickly, he straightens back up. The look on his face is hungry, predatory.] Now I’m getting excited. [His eyes narrow, arms rising to be ready.] It’s a shame I can’t see the look on your face. I bet it’s very good.
You’ll have to show me before you die.
[He throws himself forward again, careful of the swords. But they are weapons. He wants to wiggle in close and cut off Sol’s chance of getting to swing them. Instead of a clown, he’s more like a monk, fists and legs.]
[Man, what is with this guy? There's a highkey chance that Sol's forgotten Shirasu's also there as they continue to try and strike at Hisoka. He bends too far, just out of Sol's reach and when he stands again Sol jumps back. It's hard to pick up a pattern in his fighting style even if Sol's looking for one, swords held tightly in their hands.]
Not a chance! [He doesn't dodge. He doesn't dodge when Hisoka moves, closer to Sol's personal space and avoiding the blades all together. Despite the risk Sol lets Hisoka throw himself forward--
--and quickly drops one of the swords to jab Hisoka in the forehead with their thumb even if it leaves themselves wide open for a hit.
It might feel strange, but suddenly all sense of magic can no longer be felt. Should Hisoka try to use his abilities again, he will find himself unable to.
Recovering the second sword, they realize Hisoka's still too close though and at the last second there's a swipe up to try and block.]
[Now that isn't very nice at all, Sol. If he can't have Bungee Gum, he at least wants Earth. Why would Sol do him dirty this way?
There doesn't even have to be a showcase of powers for him to realize his tether with the magic is gone. The first clown frown in pretty much his whole run here so far makes an appearance. He's still falling into the movements he knows best, fighting, but he definitely doesn't look happy about the interference.]
I hope you plan to give it back. I have a very specific magic trick for you if you don't.
[Hisoka's upper half doesn't fall in when Sol blocks; instead, it tilts back. But his foot comes down on one of Sol's through the robes, and he swings his other leg up. It isn't a kick in the groin; it's a kick against the inner thigh. Worse, Hisoka's legs are probably one of the most powerful things on him. When he does it, he waits for a momentary opening from the surprise.
And then he tries to punch at Sol right in the sternum with all of his strength, lifting his foot so there won't be any anchor.]
[Oh. Look. They made the clown mad. That's something. They don't really have time to respond (or they're choosing not to, most likely,) even if they plan on giving the power back. As it is, Sol blocks and having left themselves wide open finds that the kick to the thigh is really painful! Actually! Wow!
There's something of a yell as their leg buckles, and the punch to the sternum also doesn't help, sending Sol flying up and sailing toward the fence with their swords.
Ow....what in the hell. Landing on their back with a loud thud and a grunt of pain, Sol lays there...for about two seconds before they crawl back to their feet.]
You'll get it back when we finish this. [Swords at the ready, even knowing that's going to absolutely bruise, they're up and immediately zipping back at Hisoka and swinging from the side and from the back, keeping their eyes on Hisoka's hands and legs this time.]
[Despite enjoying the flash of showing off, of pulling tricks, he's not at all an unfair fighter. Sometimes, he likes to be amused, but usually, there's no joy in an unbalanced fight.
So he gives Sol time to get up again without leaping after and bearing down.
In fact, he doesn't go to Sol at all. He stands flat-faced and thin lipped, waiting for Sol to get up again, to come at him again. And he teases by dodging. The circus act may not be faked. He's terribly agile and flexible, and it's not extremely hard to narrowly dodge the swinging swords in whatever weird contortionist fashion he can.
They aren't bad swings; the wind off them speaks enough of how much they'd sting if they hit. But Hisoka is being petty.
And so he just continues to dodge, moving around in a wide circle and forcing Sol to follow him.]
[There's a flaw in this plan. There's a really big flaw in this plan and it's the fact that Hisoka keeps dodging and Sol continues trying to strike. The sword swings are clean and fast, and yet there's something in the way that Sol's holding them that indicates they aren't exactly their normal choice of weapon.
This dumb bitch is absolutely following Hisoka around in a circle and still trying to strike. At least they don't seem to be running out of energy.
Eventually, Sol does jump back though and gives Hisoka a plaintive stare. Too bad it's lost under the hood.]
Man, are you seriously doing this just because I took something away from you? [This time they're smart enough not to drop their guard, but the dodging and chasing is a little reminiscent of days past and it's just as equally frustrating.]
[It's okay. He can feel the stare from under the hood.]
I don't need it, but I am disappointed you took something I was playing with. [The way he stands is lackadaisical in stature. A lot of people would think Hisoka was lazy for it. That he's stupid and doesn't care.
But really, he's extremely confident. There's not an ounce of fear in his body. Knowing what he's capable of doing has inflated the surety, to him, of his win. Whether it's a draw or victory.] Were you afraid I would win? [He takes a step toward Sol, slow.] Does it mean, possibly, that you don't have ties to the elements yourself...?
[Pushing off, he flies at Sol again, getting in close. This time, though, he's punching.]
[Hisoka's going in for a bunch and Sol crosses both of their blades in an x to block before kicking themselves backwards. Hand to hand isn't their strongsuit, but whether the block is successful or not they're still slashing with both swords on opposite ends without pause.]
Powers aren't just for playing with, and I could've still beaten you even with your powers. [But there isn't an answer because yeah, Hisoka's right. Sol doesn't have the ability to manipulate the elements like that.
What Sol does have, however, is a little more magic on their side.]
You really want your powers back to make this a fair fight?
[The hit to the knuckles stings, but this doesn't seem to bother nor deter Hisoka from continuing with his pursuits.
He got a lick in, and he spends the next return of attacks dodging. He looks curious, though? And like he isn't breaking a whole lot of sweat from this. Not entirely.] Hoh? [He blocks one of Sol's arms at the wrist with his forearm, and then he twists his hand to grab, give them a moment's pause.]
More than only playing with? Do tell.
[His other hand is up and ready for more grabbing if Sol gets any fancy ideas about using the other arm.]
[Dodging is still frustrating. Sol's relentless in their pursuit, someone who seems to have enough experience keeping up with other people. They're also willing to answer, even if there's a disgruntled noise at the fact that Hisoka grabs their arm. The swords are still in their grip, but Sol's eyeing Hisoka's hands. As long as the clown isn't touching them, they can at least elaborate.]
Your alignment's obvious. Ever thought about the fact you could change what's around you instead of just playing around with the grass? [Also please let go of them this is annoying.]
[But no, he keeps holding onto Sol so that the match is briefly paused. Look, he's thinking.] Are we truly free to play with the consistency of our area? It has to be there to manipulate, correct?
Alas, I wouldn't be able to show you at all. You took away my ability. A shame. [There's no warning when he swings his free arm around to try to punch Sol again in the chest. He's holding on and chatting almost amicably, and then he's suddenly
just trying to sock Sol with no pretense because he's like that.]
In theory? You're allowed to do whatever you think is necessary to reach an end. That's where Lune and I can't step in.
[It's fine, punching Sol is 100% real even if one hand comes up to block with his own arm. It means that arm takes the brunt force but they settle for trying to mirror Hisoka's movements and kick at his knees to break away.]
You know, I don't have to give it back. [If Hisoka keeps doing this there is a strong chance Sol won't??? It was fine until he started punching them but now they're just being petty. Oops.]
[He takes the brunt of the kick, but not at the knee. His leg lifts, and he uses the taut muscle of his calf to guard the blow.]
But you will.
[The look on his face darkens considerably. It’s clear he is letting himself slip a little closer to the bloodlust. The golden eyes are hyper-focused, alert. The way his shoulders and waist shift, like a snake coiling slowly up and preparing to spring. It's not as pleasurable without the look.
[Well, that seems like a good enough place to put an end to this, assuming either of them can actually be stopped. Shirasu's kept quiet, observing and studying the ways that each of them move-- but after that exchange, he exhales a sigh and focuses himself.
He's only done it on a smaller scale before, but it takes less precision to douse both of them with water than it would to target Hisoka alone... so that's exactly what he does. Literal wet blanket.]
I think that's more than enough for now.
[Just calling that out from where he's perched on the fence, but he'll physically step in if he must.]
[Hisoka's getting ready to launch at Sol again, and Sol's bracing themselves for impact…
…but instead, there's an indignant sort of yell as water douses over them. It's not even a lot of water but it's surprising and they jerk back, attempting to wrestle out of Hisoka's grip to look at Shirasu instead.]
[The water works as well as it would work taking a cold shower to run the hot burn of arousal away. IT WORKS SO WELL.
The whole of his face falls immediately flat. It's not the first time Shirasu has pelted him with water, but it's the third time, and he is still so Done with being bullied this way when he's trying to have a good time.
With a sigh, he releases Sol and settles back into the lax and rolling air of usual Hisoka. One hand sweeps water from his hairline back to keep it from going into his face.]
[Look, at least it's not just him this time. Shirasu is equal opportunity here. Also if Hisoka gets to say some of the shit he does then Shirasu feels this is entirely fair?
He relaxes a bit as they separate, no longer poised to intervene, and settles back into his spot on the fence.]
I'm aware. It's early yet; you both have plenty of time to do this again.
[And, with a tilt of his head:]
Or would you rather have all your entertainment now, Morow-san, and little left later on?
[Thanks...Shirasu...Sol steps back and dismisses the swords after making sure there's plenty of distance between them and Hisoka, giving him a level stare that Hisoka can't see at all.]
Don't encourage him, Shirasu. [Deadass sure that Hisoka would happily entertain himself now than later, but it's fine.]
If I get the worst ones out of the way first, I'll have the best ones later on.
[Not that Sol is bad, but he wants the jab to dig a little. Sol gets a small, smug sort of smirk. He can't see the look, though he can see the turn of the head with the hood.]
Dragging me away already? [Ah well. The wife calls.] We'll finish this another time then, Sol.
[Encourage him, that is. It seems to have mixed results, but then this is still a new enough agreement... there's time yet.
This is also probably where the polite thing to do might be to say he'll speak with Sol again soon, but Shirasu says nothing of the sort, simply gesturing for Hisoka to go ahead.]
I have nowhere to drag you to, right now; go wherever you please.
[is he going to wait and go an entirely different direction... most likely.]
Sure. [To both Hisoka and Shirasu. They don't seem to be discouraging another fight because for someone who is more than a foot shorter than Hisoka they are pretty feisty.
They're also just...waiting for something, it seems, folding their arms over their chest and turning their head to glance between the two of them.]
[SIGH. Sol doesn't move right away, but eventually they step forward and approach Hisoka. With a small jump, they leap and press their thumb against his forehead.
Power courses through Hisoka's veins again, the alignment with his element returned.]
[Patiently, he stands there and waits on Sol to do the sunny thingy. It's great no longer being so ordinary and boring again.]
Thank you for all your help. ♥
[It sounds more teasing than sincere, but it's fine.] You're pretty strong. I like it. [He flicks a glance at Shirasu, and then turns to leave in a direction the other man probably won't follow.]
