...Saix and I argued about this a few weeks ago. He wanted to try and find a way to stay awake and protect people, including me. I told him no, and now he's trying to tell me I was wrong. [It's. Strange. It sort of makes sense but it's strange.]

...You guys let other people stay awake, though, didn't you? For favors.

[ axel is not gonna say saix was right because that's false and cursed, but he is at least. curious about that part ]

Uh huh. I wasn't against him getting a task to stay awake if someone went after you three or himself.

But for you it wasn't worth it.

Well, that's fine, he wasn't. When's he ever been? It was silly to try an' protect you when you couldn't get hurt.

Hey! [!! He's swiping at Axel's hand but he's mostly allowing that hair ruffle so that's a sign things are probably not so great. Ah well.]

Find another way. Keep you guys safe. Stop all of this, and protect Lune.

I wouldn't call it a loss quite yet. Don't count us out 'til we're done for real, you know?

[ but he pauses, deliberating ]

... But I won't disagree this all feels like one lousy set up.

I'm not counting anybody out. We still have a few days. But if it was just a set up, what even was the point?

[leaberator]

Right..that's true. [He, like, half-believes that because he knows how Axel is and also he's seen enough memories by now to figure Axel wouldn't say anything anyway.]

It's the "so far" I'm worried about. I think Xion's scared of what's going to happen to me and Lune, and Naminé brought me cheesecake to prepare for tomorrow.
