It's not too surprising to think that Mikazuki wouldn't discuss his situation too much... he likes appearing mysterious.

He's not that mysterious if you know what to look for...but I always just sort of thought he just didn't think it was worth discussing because it wasn't anyone else's burden. He takes on a lot more responsibility than he needs to. And Ookurikara explained a little when I asked, but I didn't want to talk to him more than I had to just in case he got even madder.

You'd be surprised by how many people disagree with that.

Plus, he... he's the type to always be thinking about something else, on top of whatever we're doing.

So how do you make someone like that stop? [Sounds familiar, but Roxas isn't a meme and therefore has Questions.]

Well... I think it may be possible to get him to slow down or change trajectory. But to outright stop is... harder.

Like a distraction or something? Isn't that only temporary?

You'd be surprised by how powerful a good distraction can be. Sometimes they can even change your whole life.

Speaking from experience? [Tsuru...then again, it's not like Roxas hasn't had his own experience with such things, but this isn't about how shitty his life was.]

Mikazuki is a person who likes it when things follow his particular plans, and while he's okay with some diversions... I think that if it gets too out of his hands, he'd be forced to regroup. And while that may be annoying for him, it doesn't mean it's bad.

[There's a slow nod. That makes sense. Granted, there's Roxas who kind of gave up on making plans and has since defaulted to just doing whatever makes sense, but he gets it.]

Things went off of our original plans almost from the beginning. But you wouldn't really know it just from talking to him. I guess it just keeps being sort of impressive.

... mm. He doesn't like it when he doesn't have at least some sort of control of a situation.

There's still a lot about him that I don't understand or know about, but I feel like I understand a lot more than I did before we came here.

That's probably a good thing given your relationship with him. [Lightly said. He approves of his grandpas being dumb and gay but at the same time he gets how difficult it is to really know people.] I have people I'm still learning about, too. And sometimes...I don't know. I don't want to keep people here and suffering, but sometimes I do wish we had some more time where the worlds were on pause and we could spend time getting to know each other better.

Maybe then things would make more sense.

Being here wasn't that bad, if you ignore all of the murder.

But it was nice getting to talk to everyone and learn about them. I'm not sure when might be the next time I'd have an opportunity like this.

That's the thing. Everybody's got stuff to get back to and their lives are going to continue on like they were never paused in the first place. What if...I dunno. What if people forget after a while?

It's difficult to predict the future. So many things might happen, it's not like any of us thought we'd end up here in the first place. So let's do our best to preserve our bonds with another despite that.

Yeah...you're right. [Unfortunately. He doesn't like it, and he kind of wants to strangle the universe all over again, but Tsuru has a point. In the end, there's a half-smile and a lot to think about.]

It's annoying, isn't it? He keeps saying he's too old and brittle to spar with me, when that's definitely not true. I'm going to hit him.
