So what you're saying is that maybe plans really don't matter that much as long as you're fast. [He 100% gets that, this is terrible.] That makes sense...then you don't waste time either if you're not trying to stick with a plan that's falling apart.

Exactly! Even the best and most organized of plans can fall apart if something completely unexpected happens. So you need to be good at bouncing back from the unexpected.
