Trying to talk sense into Axel has never worked before. Why start now? [He sounds stupidly fond though.]

Yesterday. He came by to talk-- and said he'd be back.

[...he sounds like he really doesn't know quite what to make of that.]

[cyclists]

Axel usually keeps his word on that kind of stuff. Does that bother you?

[wagashis]

More that I don't see why he wants to bother.

[cyclists]

You said the same thing about me, too, but you still let me come back.

[wagashis]

Roxas-kun, I didn't try to kill you.

[cyclists]

I know. Sometimes I can't really explain his behavior either.

[wagashis]

So you have no idea, either.

[he just sighs, there, shaking his head.]

Do you still intend to try to convince the others I should live? How has that gone for you, so far?

[cyclists]

Well, Axel came to see you on his own after I talked to him and told him about you, so it's probably going a little better than you think.

[There's a small smirk.] I'd try to convince them if anyone was in your position, Shirasu. Revenge killing isn't what this is about, that's a great way to let the corruption manifest. I'm just trying a little harder in your case.

[wagashis]

... what did you tell him about me?

[he squints over at Roxas, there-- just what has he been spilling.

He's ignoring that last comment, thanks.]

[cyclists]

Nothing you have to worry about. I just said that you and I had an understanding and that you were one of the few people who talked to me outside of just checking in or getting something from me. I already told him I was mad they confronted you and broke your legs on Saturday, too. He seemed to get it.

[wagashis]

...the violence I can understand, but you were angry they confronted me at all?

[That bit, he's definitely more surprised about.]

[cyclists]

More like I was angry they didn't listen about waiting to do it later and not focusing on something that happened already instead of what was inevitably going to happen on Saturday.

[wagashis]

You knew they planned on it?

[Like, Roxas isn't wrong, it definitely interrupted proceedings-- but he's paying the most attention to that part.]

[cyclists]

Someone asked me about it right before the trial, I said to hold off on it because it wouldn't really help anything right now if they didn't even have proof to accuse you of anything, it happened anyway.

[A frustrated frown.] Sorry. I tried, but...Friday wasn't a very good day.

[wagashis]

... because of her, and those two being without partners. I know.

[he still doesn't sound happy about it, though.]

[cyclists]

...there are certain things I can't interfere with and certain rules I have to follow. Not meddling when you guys make choices like that is part of it. I can offer opinions and advice, but ultimately we can't stop people.

It's kind of like how even if I don't understand why, I have to follow what the universe wants.

[...] So I have something for you. [Now's as good a time as any, and it means delaying talking about Xion for a little longer.]

[wagashis]

[he understands that, he does-- it's just that it makes it harder to believe roxas will be able to sway others' opinions, when for all shirasu knows, someone's already shared plans to kill him that can't be interfered with and that he won't hear about.

but he doesn't object, at least.

he does raise a brow at that last bit, though--]

I hope you realize that saying so after everything else makes that sound a little ominous, Roxas-kun.

["just remember I can't stop people from doing anything to you, speaking of which, have something that's definitely innocent."]

[cyclists]

I know, I know...just. Here. [He reaches into his cloak and pulls out a scroll for Shirasu. When he unravels it, he'll see:]

Nebula

Every Tuesday, the Nebula will be approached by one or both of the Signs and be presented with the gift of reforging bonds. This may take effect in the form of binding a pair of partnerless players together, or choosing two players to swap and repair.

While the Signs may encourage the Nebula to choose, the power itself is optional. If the Nebula chooses to skip this week, there will be no change implemented. However, the Signs will warn the Nebula that this power has a time limit. If it is not used before then, it will disappear on its own.

Additional notes:
The Nebula will be allowed to ask questions about the ongoings of the games and communicate with the Signs if it will help them make a decision. However, the information received will be up to the Signs' discretion.

and then he looks up to Roxas and just says-]

Does the universe understand this is a terrible idea?

I have no idea what the universe thinks anymore. That showed up when Lune and I traveled back to another plane. I was going to come visit you today to talk about it, but your note got to me first.

[wagashis]

... well, if nothing else, I can tell you I intend to wait to see what happens this week. I'm not foolish enough to choose too early.

[A pause, before:]

But I doubt I have to tell you I do intend to re-pair myself.

[cyclists]

I sort of figured. I'd be more surprised if you didn't after this.

And waiting also makes sense. You're not exactly the kind of person I'd expect to make a ton of rash decisions when it comes to your own survival.

[wagashis]

I'll have to think on it-- I do have an idea or two, though I'll see just how things work out for us.

[cyclists]

You know your time limit, so...all I can do now is let you act on what you think is best.
