[he understands that, he does-- it's just that it makes it harder to believe roxas will be able to sway others' opinions, when for all shirasu knows, someone's already shared plans to kill him that can't be interfered with and that he won't hear about.

but he doesn't object, at least.

he does raise a brow at that last bit, though--]

I hope you realize that saying so after everything else makes that sound a little ominous, Roxas-kun.

["just remember I can't stop people from doing anything to you, speaking of which, have something that's definitely innocent."]

I know, I know...just. Here. [He reaches into his cloak and pulls out a scroll for Shirasu. When he unravels it, he'll see:]

Nebula

Every Tuesday, the Nebula will be approached by one or both of the Signs and be presented with the gift of reforging bonds. This may take effect in the form of binding a pair of partnerless players together, or choosing two players to swap and repair.

While the Signs may encourage the Nebula to choose, the power itself is optional. If the Nebula chooses to skip this week, there will be no change implemented. However, the Signs will warn the Nebula that this power has a time limit. If it is not used before then, it will disappear on its own.

Additional notes:
The Nebula will be allowed to ask questions about the ongoings of the games and communicate with the Signs if it will help them make a decision. However, the information received will be up to the Signs' discretion.

[...he reads over it. he reads it a second and third time.

and then he looks up to Roxas and just says-]

Does the universe understand this is a terrible idea?

[cyclists]

I have no idea what the universe thinks anymore. That showed up when Lune and I traveled back to another plane. I was going to come visit you today to talk about it, but your note got to me first.

[wagashis]

... well, if nothing else, I can tell you I intend to wait to see what happens this week. I'm not foolish enough to choose too early.

[A pause, before:]

But I doubt I have to tell you I do intend to re-pair myself.

[cyclists]

I sort of figured. I'd be more surprised if you didn't after this.

And waiting also makes sense. You're not exactly the kind of person I'd expect to make a ton of rash decisions when it comes to your own survival.

[wagashis]

I'll have to think on it-- I do have an idea or two, though I'll see just how things work out for us.

[cyclists]

You know your time limit, so...all I can do now is let you act on what you think is best.

[wagashis]

Not going to try to convince me to do anything in particular?

[cyclists]

No. And even if I wanted to I'm not sure I could. This is a scroll from the universe, not me.

[wagashis]

You can't interfere in others' actions, but you've said you intend to try to convince them regardless. If you have any particular opinions, it's a little surprising you wouldn't share them-- that's all.

[cyclists]

I only have the same opinions I've already told you, Shirasu. I want to keep certain people alive and that's what matters to me. I don't know how that would affect your choice.

[wagashis]

Fair enough.

[A pause, and-]

Well, I could always keep a closer eye on one of them.

[cyclists]

...what exactly are you thinking?

[wagashis]

I'm thinking that if someone has already lost two partners, others might hesitate to put them at risk a third time.

If he's so insistent on sticking around, I may as well oblige him, after all.

[cyclists]

...if you do something else to hurt him, I can't forgive you for that either. [And yet, he knows Shirasu has a point.]

He could handle whatever's thrown at him. Always has.

[wagashis]

Well, I'll do my best not to die and leave him at risk again, but I'm afraid I can't make any promises there.

[...and after a moment he adds, with a slight sigh-]

I don't intend to do anything calculated to him. That was a reaction more than anything else-- I wasn't lying when I said I wasn't exactly thinking about your list at the time.

[cyclists]

I know. I believe you on that because sometimes you just freak out and act on stuff. I'd still rather not have anything accidental happen to him again either though. That's all.

[wagashis]

I'll see what I can do.

[That's the most he can say, honestly.]

I can't exactly predict such things.

[cyclists]

As long as you're trying I think that's what matters the most. Can you at least promise to try?

[wagashis]

You're sure you want to ask me for further promises?

[He raises a brow, there.]

[cyclists]

No. But let's just say I'd like to see what you'll do.

[wagashis]

As would I. There aren't very many options, as things stand.

[...which reminds him. There's another pause, there.]

I know you've said you appreciate that I don't simply request things of you, but there's something I should at least ask. Someone else suggested seeing if there's any chance of being healed, at least somewhat.

[Life sucks when you are basically living in pain, basic medical attention only goes so far here.]

I'm sure others wouldn't be pleased, but they have me contained and my abilities sealed. Perhaps that will be enough to keep them from just doing the same all over again.

[cyclists]

...it's possible, yeah, but you'd still have to do a task for it. Or have someone complete a task in your stead. I've given those out to people, too. But it could be done and we could at least heal your legs.

[wagashis]

Then I'll see what I can do, if you let me know what it would take.

Obviously I'd prefer fixing them, but if it comes to it, I'd accept numbing the pain as well.

[if, you know, what it takes to actually get fixed is more than he can manage.]
