Death has never been a pretty thing, has it? Though some of you may have seen it coming, many of you have been taken by surprise in the last moments of your life.
Fortunately for you, it's not over yet.
The last thing you may remember is dying, but upon awakening you'll find yourself in what appears to be the meeting hall. Warmed by the ever-present fire, the room is empty and the voting box appears to be missing. In its place are three large panels hanging from the walls that allow the newly dead to peer into the lives of the living.
As you step out into the village, twilight has set in over the sleepy valley casting light and shadows as far as the eye can see. The same buildings appear to be here, all in the same order and with the same amenities. The sakura trees continue to bloom, the kitchen remains well-stocked, and the bell at the shrine echos. Likewise, the river flows through the village and the four elemental regions are found at the edges of the village.
The main difference, however, is the appearance of two additional huts that you don't recognize each bearing an emblem of a sun or a moon.
Make yourself comfortable. You'll be here for a while.

[ because tsuru agrees with kara had said when they were discussing it as a group-- a sword should be the one to break a sword. ]
But there's no point in thinking of things like that now.
no subject
You'd be able to do something like that?
[come back to life, just to die again, and kill the person he's romantically entangled with?
that sounds like a horrible trip back to the living]
no subject
I would be the most suited for it.
[ because it's true. at least, it's true for him. ]

[and she thinks that she'd like to know more about it - but it all happens very fast, you know? the way that they move out of the room, the slashes exchanged between them, and she watches frustrated and amazed like she really thought there couldn't be anyone stronger than ookurikara and tsurumaru.
until kara's eye is claimed for it, and shess is stabbed
and she, covers her mouth in her shock, gasping audibly as her expression grows concerned]
No...!!
no subject
he opens his mouth to say something, but then movement on the screen distracts him and-- oh, kara just ditched shess. valid. ]
... Kara-bou's okay.
no subject
[given that she suffered from that same injury herself, she thinks that it makes sense for her to say that he's not okay? he's hurt, and even though she understands, even though she can't blame him for moving forward - her gaze drifting to shess.
her composure is starting to fray, even if she's trying to calm herself after the initial outburst]
This - How is any of this...
[even remotely okay?]
no subject
[ shess is moving, at least, and he lets out a small sigh of relief. it's fine. they should have known this was going to be difficult, but it's
fine. ]
