Corona

Every Tuesday, the Corona will meet with the Signs and be presented with three choices to help or hinder the game's progress. This may include items, effects, scenarios or more. However, they will not be provided any further information about these choices and their results will vary. They will have to pick wisely.

Should the Corona choose to not pick at all, the Signs will pick for them instead and inflict a punishment on the Corona.

When the Signs seeks to summon the Corona, a portal will appear when they find themselves alone. Upon entering the door, they will be brought into a tea room where the Signs are waiting for them. When their visit in the room concludes and they choose to exit, the portal will disappear. The Corona will find that no matter how long they spent in the tea room, no time has elapsed outside of the portal.

Additional notes:
The Corona will be allowed to ask questions about the ongoings of the games and communicate with the Signs in their weekly meetings. They will be able to also receive small hints in the game should they perform well, including game mechanics, locations and more. However, the information received will be up to the Signs' discretion.

WEEK 1

[cyclists]

[On Tuesday of Week 1, the Corona will find themselves drawn into a portal that brings them into the tea room. On the long, low black table in the center of the room, they'll find one scroll containing a summary of the basic information above.

When they look up, Sol and Lune will be present and available for questions.]

SOL

[cyclists]

[leaberator]

[ The entire time he's alone with the scroll, Axel takes his time reading it, pouring over it with what might be a surprising amount of dedication. His fingers tap in rhythm on the table, the only burst of energy from him. A slight frown graces his features...

...but he loses the frown when he looks up and sees both the Signs. He looks over at Sol first ]

... I know I said I wanted to hang out more, but I don't think I had this in mind when I did.

[cyclists]

[At least Sol's stance looks a little apologetic.]

To be honest? I didn't really either, but you're probably the best person for the job right now.

[leaberator]

Only right now? Gee, thanks.

[ he taps his fingers on the table again, glancing back at the scroll ]

And... what job is that, anyway? [ he's obviously read it, so it's not clear exactly what he's asking. ]

[cyclists]

[And because Sol takes that literally:] The Corona's a person who's given the power to make a choice from the universe. While we don't know what, exactly, those choices will do, they're meant to be used as tools for you guys. The paint from the party was an example.

[Good thing they didn't let Minato paint their face. There's a pause.]

...I kind of panicked when we were given the scroll, and I picked somebody when we had to. I was wrong with that choice. [They can admit that.] But, given a second chance I made a choice that I knew we could work with.

[leaberator]

[ he takes all of that in in silence for a second. A choice from the universe, huh... He's not sure how to feel about that. ]

Well, now you're just making me curious how bad your initial choice was. [ a joke. again. clearly. ] The choices can be good or bad, right? There's no telling?

[cyclists]

[They look upward as if considering.] They got mad I didn't have an answer for them and asked to quit. [i.e. they got yelled at. This whole game has been a lot of people yelling at Sol and eventually it gets annoying.]

The choices can be good or bad, but I think even the bad choices are something we can work with if you're clever. [Which is part of why they selected Axel, and the implication's clear here.]

[leaberator]

[ yeah okay axel's clever but please consider the player, who is dumb as bricks? still. ]

... Sorry I asked. [ yikes! ] So, does that mean I get to decide how and when whatever I pick shows up?

LUNE

[cyclists]

[leaberator]

[ and because i want to harass you both ]

Any chance I can get a hint?

[ he knows it's probably a long shot. ]

[cyclists]

[lune is hanging out

they have tea and dango. one stick gets offered to axelea]

Ahaha, you do not trust your instincts?

[leaberator]

[ he picks it up with no hesitation, munching on it in thought. when he speaks, the stick is still in his mouth with the remaining two dango.

god let him eat something else than dessert. ]

My instincts are alright. My luck's the one I'm worried about.

[cyclists]

[please have some manners.

lune is just thoughtful at that]

Then perhaps the two may balance one another.

[leaberator]

[ ah, well. it was worth a shot. ]

Man, this is why I bluffed my way through poker nights.

[ and sometimes maybe cheated but who's keeping track (luxord) ]

[cyclists]

Hmm...

[lune seems to take a moment to think about what to say next, sipping their tea to take up time

before placing it off to the side and

clapping their hands once together neatly]

Do your best, Lea!

[remember when axelea asked lune to be his cheer squad because apparently lune does]

[leaberator]

[ oh my god ]

... Thanks. I feel more confident already.

CHOICE

[cyclists]

The choices this week are Zero, Three and Nine.

Please respond to this top-level by Wednesday at 8 AM PST with a choice!

[leaberator]

[ well... okay. numbers. he might not be part of the organization anymore, but he still sorta wishes eight was on there, strictly to make things easier.

... well, demyx ended up being somehow instrumental in defeating xehanort, so what the hell? ]

I guess I'll go with nine.

[cyclists]

[No sooner than Axel makes his choice, 30 wooden puzzle boxes appear on the table. There seems to be one for every participant in the game, and if Axel picks one up he'll hear something rattling around inside.

Sol's going to approach and look at the boxes, too.]

...so. That's what nine does. [If they sound surprised it's because they are.] So what now?

[leaberator]

[ he looks at the puzzle boxes and picks one up to test the rattle sound. He looks at it critically. ]

... You take a look at the coffin, recently? I get the sense this is gonna end in tears.

[ is this crew even going to be ABLE to SOLVE A PUZZLE???? ]

[cyclists]

Probably. But they can keep them for as long as they want until they get them open, I guess. [A doubtful poke at one of the boxes.] How do you want to deliver them?

[leaberator]

... I'm more worried about them trying to just break them, but I guess we'll see.

[ he looks towards the sky ]

Tomorrow's probably fine, if it's just these boxes. Unless you guys have another party planned?

[cyclists]

If they're all supposed to get one maybe it doesn't matter if they break them. [Shrug.] We don't have anything planned, so...I guess we can have them sent to everyone's houses or something. That would be the easiest.

[leaberator]

I'd say we should leave them a note in case they think it's a bomb, but... For all we know, some of 'em might be.

[ life is terrible. ]
