Corona

Every Tuesday, the Corona will meet with the Signs and be presented with three choices to help or hinder the game's progress. This may include items, effects, scenarios or more. However, they will not be provided any further information about these choices and their results will vary. They will have to pick wisely.

Should the Corona choose to not pick at all, the Signs will pick for them instead and inflict a punishment on the Corona.

When the Signs seeks to summon the Corona, a portal will appear when they find themselves alone. Upon entering the door, they will be brought into a tea room where the Signs are waiting for them. When their visit in the room concludes and they choose to exit, the portal will disappear. The Corona will find that no matter how long they spent in the tea room, no time has elapsed outside of the portal.

Additional notes:
The Corona will be allowed to ask questions about the ongoings of the games and communicate with the Signs in their weekly meetings. They will be able to also receive small hints in the game should they perform well, including game mechanics, locations and more. However, the information received will be up to the Signs' discretion.

[There's a shake of the head. ] It's a link, yeah. But I don't know if it's as empty as we think it is.

Yeah, okay. [They'll believe it when they see it, Axel.]

...I don't know if it's a person...but maybe more like a remnant? Something left behind.

[leaberator]

Like... a ghost?

[ no, his first reflex is nobody, but he knows that can't be right. ]

[cyclists]

Do you believe in ghosts?

[leaberator]

[ he tilts his head ]

Sure? I've seen weirder stuff.

[ pretty sure Halloween town has some anyway ]

[cyclists]

Some people wouldn't. [There's a frown.] For all we know, the corruption we sensed in that area is in the coffin. But it's weird that it won't open.

[leaberator]

Might be because no one tried figuring out the code?

[ look ........ magic locks ]

But if the corruption was in there, does that mean we'd need to open it to get rid of it?

[cyclists]

Unless we think it can be contained forever. A lot of people seem to be attacking it already anyway...

I'm doing some more searching to make sure before we go after it. It could just be something affected by the corruption even if it's not the source.

[leaberator]

Hmmm. How do we deal with the source when we find it?

[ he is. assuming. it's not cutting off someone's head every time. ]

[cyclists]

One of the things would be defeating it with your powers. [So, you know, standard shit.] It's not always gonna be in a person, I think, so it'll be easier to fight off. Finding another way to eliminate or purify it would be helpful but I think that's why we're supposed to get stronger.

[leaberator]

So the usual: just beat it until it sticks. [ fair enough. but-- ] Speaking of powers, you think there's any way I could ever get a different one?

[ turns out using it once did not make him like burning heart better? wow. ]

[cyclists]

[Hm...]

Maybe not right away, but...we can always ask. [They tilt their head back to look up at him.] Did you have something else in mind?

[leaberator]

[ he's considering spitfire solely to just constantly use it on hisoka so he can't say words. ]

Hey, if the universe takes requests, sure. I hadn't really thought it was an option.

[ he just loves complaining ]

[cyclists]

I'll try to expedite it just for you. [It's kind of a joke but also sort of true. ] Just...know it'll probably come with a price.

[leaberator]

Aw, Sol. I'm flattered. [ he puts a hand to his chest ] Does that mean I'm your favorite?

[ but he gets more serious ]

Thanks for the heads up. We'll see if the price is worth it.

[cyclists]

You wish. [But yes, obviously.] It'll be a big price, but we'll have to see when they agree to it. If they agree.

[Stupid universe.]

[leaberator]

[ a big price, hm. ominous. Axel... Looks away at the question. ]

Not really. [ it felt kinda like adding the cherry on top of the sundae of bad decisions that was this weekend. ] Kinda made my opinion of it worse, actually.

[cyclists]

...sorry Axel. [That's really all that can be said here.] I had hoped maybe it could still be used for something good, but...[Mania isn't exactly great on anyone.]

I don't get half of the powers people were given anyway though.

[leaberator]

[ he waves him off ] Whatever, it's done. There's no taking it back.

[ regardless, he gestures at sol ]

That's what I've been saying! Half of these are plain weird.

[cyclists]

Like you haven't seen some weird powers before? [Slightly amused here.] But I get it. If I had to pick? These wouldn't be close to what I'd offer everybody else.

[leaberator]

[ without missing a beat: ]

Giant keys and playing cards are one thing, but this is definitely weirder. [ anyway ] Oh? What kinda weapon would you offer them?

[cyclists]

Something sturdy...like a bat maybe? But maybe not like Minato's nail bat because that seems like a really bad idea. But something you can use to swing heavy hits but still light enough to dodge with.

[leaberator]

[ Sol. please. axel can't deal with this. He just. smiles a bit, like he's biting it back ]

Sounds like you got a very specific weapon on your wish list.

[cyclists]

[There's quiet. It's quiet as Sol seems to study Axel for a long time...and then there's a hum of agreement after a while.]
