[He'll appear in the dining hall today with his pint of ice cream and a spoon. His hood's down already, strangely, and even more strangely there's a black kitten clinging to his shoulder.

But when she approaches he looks up and grins slightly.]

Hey. What'll it be today?

[foodbin]

Aw... Cute. What's its name?

[She says that first, but then:]

I was wondering... Would it be possible for someone to get an item that could disguise them and make them look like someone else?

[cyclists]

He doesn't really have one yet, but I've been calling him Wednesday. He seems fine with that.

[But that's a tough question and...he sighs.] I don't know. Maybe not because that's close to the Reflection power. What're you thinking?

[foodbin]

I was just wondering. There's something I've been trying to figure out...

[Hm.]

Would anyone be able to get an item that let them use their power twice in a week?

[cyclists]

If they did a task, I guess so. I think a lot of things are probably possible depending on the task assigned.

[foodbin]

Can I ask if someone has done that?

[cyclists]

I think you might be overthinking things just a little. And I can't really disclose what everybody else is doing, sorry.

...but it's an interesting concept.

[foodbin]

Overthinking... Okay.

[She frowns.]

If they had a power halfway through the week, then changed what that power was, could they use that new power even though they'd used the old one earlier? Since it would be different...

[cyclists]

No. It doesn't work like that...they'd have to wait to get settled into it. [i.e when a new week starts.]

[foodbin]

[She frowns.]

Is there a simpler option I'm missing here, or...? You said overthinking.

[cyclists]

I'll be honest, I don't entirely get what you're asking. So what is it? No hypotheticals. What are you trying to find out?

[foodbin]

...There was a water user involved in Swift Wind's death, based on the information we got during the trial. We thought it was Shirasu because of the information he gave us when we summoned him through Val, but... I used my truth scroll on him, and even though Swift Wind said Shirasu gave him that food, it wasn't really him. Shess, Lea and I thought it was probably because someone used Reflection, but I remember who showed their powers during the trial - everyone who said they were a water user did.

[She frowns.]

We're just trying to figure out how that's possible.

[cyclists]

The answer to that is a lot easier than you think, even if it doesn't sound like it should be the right one. You don't have to look that hard.

[foodbin]

...That could mean a few things. Any other hints you can give me?

[cyclists]

You're going to hit a dead end sooner or later. [There's a shrug.] Sorry. That's all I can really say.

[foodbin]

No... That’s okay. You’ve helped a lot.

Hey, how about we do something more fun than you just answering my questions for once?

[cyclists]

I hope so. And I hope you reach the conclusion you're looking for. [A nod.

...but...he perks up a little.]

Really? [Please.] Got any ideas?

Have you gotten the chance to explore the gateway at all? It’s pretty cool, especially the shopping village that’s there.

[cyclists]

Not yet. [A hand comes up to pet Wednesday the kitten.] We're not allowed in sometimes, and now that I have Wednesday I've been making sure he's comfortable. But it sounds really cool. [...] Can we go?

[foodbin]

[She nods.]

I think you’ll like it. There’s a dessert shop and everything.

[cyclists]

That sounds really cool. [He's balancing the cat on his shoulder and he's standing up, willing away the ice cream he's been steadily working on.] I can get some stuff for Lune and surprise him!

[Listen, he's just excited for a field trip.]

[foodbin]

I bet he'd like that. You could probably find him a new kind of tea at the coffee shop.

[She takes a step in the direction of the gateway, glancing his way.]

[cyclists]

[He's immediately following, please don't assume he's not practically bolting after her to make sure they're going together.]

He'd like that a lot...and maybe sweets to go with it? He deserves to try new stuff just as much as I do.

[foodbin]

Mhm. Like I said, there’s an entire dessert store, even if some of the things it sells are... a little bit weird. I bet you’ll like it, though.

[cyclists]

I don't mind a little weird. Some of the places I've been to and some of the places I remember have had some weird stuff available, too. That's what makes each world different.

[The cat mews from his place on Sol's shoulder and he brings a hand up to pet him.] What's been your favorite place in the gateway so far?
