...it's okay. I get it. You were trying to help and clarification wasted time. But...I thought it you went to this kitchen instead, you'd waste even more time. We can't tell you where, exactly, to look, but we can give hints. I guess we should have said that in the first place.

No, you're right. I shouldn't have assumed you were just asking because you were curious and wasting our time. Even if you had just been curious... Getting angry probably wasted more time.

Probably. [A pause, and then a joking tone.] Is the ice cream a bribe to forgive you?

[foodbin]

[She laughs.]

No. It was Lune's idea, actually. I mean, not the apologizing and talking to you thing, obviously, but... He said you liked ice cream.

[cyclists]

[...] Of course it was. [Grandpa!!!] I can't say he's wrong though. It's...nice to share with people.

[Sol's apparently fine with bribery in the form of ice cream.]

[cyclists]

I guess. [He sounds happy anyway so, like, yeah?] ...they were pretty inexpensive and so we could buy it every day. I got used to it.

[foodbin]

Pretty short allowance, huh? I remember how that is.

[cyclists]

Yeah. [Sure, that seems to make sense.] I didn't have to buy every day which helped, but we still had to earn extra if we wanted to buy stuff.

But since coming here I've been trying other flavors. This is just the best one so far.

Have you given Rocky Road a try yet? That one has always been my favorite.

[cyclists]

No...what's in that one? [It sounds weird but he's curious.] And why's it called Rocky Road anyway?

[foodbin]

Chocolate ice cream with nuts and marshmallows. I think the chocolate ice cream is the road, and the marshmallows and nuts are the rocks...?

[cyclists]

A lot of flavors have really weird names...[But there's a noise of consideration.] I'll try it next time. Thanks.

[...] If I have to I can probably bring some tomorrow when we meet with Lune and Hisoka anyway.

...Ugh, god, that's tomorrow.

Uh huh. [Their tone sounds very flat.] Believe me, I'm not exactly looking forward to it either.

Did Lune ever tell you why he picked him?

[cyclists]

Yeah. I get his reasoning but I still think the guy's a huge jerk. [Sulking...] Have you asked Lune yourself?

[They don't seem opposed to saying what it is, but they're curious.]

No, not yet. I am more than a little worried about what the answer might be, you know? I mean, I know his reasoning wasn't "I hate you and I want you to work with the worst person ever!", but...

[cyclists]

It has nothing to do with you. Lune chose him and I chose you. I thought you'd be a good fit, and he thought it was probably better to keep an eye on Hisoka...[There's more to it than that, probably, but also Sol doesn't like Hisoka very much right now.]

[foodbin]

If that's really the only reason, it kind of does have something to do with me.

[cyclists]

[They sound sorry? But also they...really highkey respect Lune, so.]

...ice cream helps and they focus on that instead.]

...I'm not...really used to this kind of thing. [Small talk. Talking to practical strangers. Either or.] I'm used to people coming to me mostly for questions or to complain.

[That at least sounds a little light-hearted even if it's exhausting.]
