Yeah. When we first met, I think she thought she recognized me but it's hard to tell when she couldn't really speak. [...there's a tilt of his head though.]

Yeah. Your zombie week. [ he tilts his head and huffs out a laugh ] For some reason, Xemnas wanted me to bring you back to the castle after he found you. I figured that meant it could wait a little.

[ and he hadn't realized roxas's look towards hayner&co was entirely due to not understanding what was happening and not because he wanted ice cream, but like hell is he gonna say that ]

[He wants to ask "why you" but it maybe doesn't matter. Axel was a better choice than Xemnas anyway, and...it made sense. He nods again.]

Just like you to procrastinate on the "icky jobs." [Sort of teasing, because they know exactly what happened once he was in the Organization's ranks.] I don't remember it at all. Maybe that's why it didn't feel so weird after that.

Yeah, official Organization babysitter was a pretty icky job. [ teasing right back. but that aside... ] Why would it feel weird? What are you talking about?

It felt routine by then, in a way. That's all.

[leaberator]

The second time I do it and it's "routine"? Well, at least I'm glad it left some impression on you. You kept forgetting my name all the time.

I eventually got it memorized, didn't I? [That was 100% just to make fun of him.]

[leaberator]

Yeah, eventually. Smart-aleck. [ he'd shove him again but. memories. ]

[He's just laughing, sorry.] It still counts. [Eventually though he seems to relax...]

...when we get home, and after we bring Sora back, that's the first thing we're gonna do.

[leaberator]

...Yeah. The clocktower's gonna be there for us when we come back. Maybe we can even drag Sora up there, too.

He's probably like that a lot. It can be all of us. There's enough room.

[leaberator]

We're gonna end up taking up all the sides, at this rate.

[cyclists]

Not like anybody else goes up there. So if we take up everything...it just means we're together.

[...] It's the one thing I keep thinking about until we get out of this mess.

[leaberator]

... Yeah. I've tried keeping Xion's spirits up with that too, but...

[ everything is terrible ]

...yeah, I get it. [...] How'd she take the news?

It could've gone over better.

...should I talk to her and try to do some damage control? [Hm.]

[leaberator]

I don't know. Maybe she just needs time.

I'll check in with her in a few days. I can't always appear, but I can try to send her something if she doesn't come find me first.

[leaberator]

Alright. Hopefully she feels a little better by then.

Hopefully. [He turns to watch the cats who're still probably rolling around.] ...is it bad not to think about it right now?

... Nah. If all you do is think about that stuff 24/7, you'll burn yourself out. There's a saying for that-- burning a candle at both ends. If we don't take a break now and then, there'll be nothing left.

...why would anyone burn a candle at both ends? [That's not the point, but he gets what Axel means anyway. He's just trying to keep the mood lighter than before.]

To make candlewax real fast.

How weird...[But he's shaking his head before summoning some ice cream because old habits, etc. Take your stick and eat it, Axel.]
