[Well okay, Akane will find Sol waiting for her in the library of the castle, seated on a table and patiently biding his time. He lifts a hand when she approaches.]

What's going on? [The flowers are probably somewhere safe.]

[specialdog]

[ She waves in greeting! ]

Everyone's been getting cool stuff in exchange for favors, so I wanted to ask for some stuff, too!

[cyclists]

Oh yeah? What're you looking for? [Akane...] And you do know you've gotta complete a task to do it, right?

[specialdog]

I know, that's why I said in exchange for favors! ♪

The first thing is - I want to see about getting Kinjou-san's powers back.

[cyclists]

[Huh.] Really? Why's that?

[specialdog]

I think it's pretty messed up to break his legs and just leave him totally defenseless, don't you?

[cyclists]

Yeah, obviously. I didn't agree with that part either...but wouldn't it just be easier to fix his legs?

[specialdog]

Oh right.

[ Listen, healing people just doesn't tend to cross her mind. ]

Can I do both if I do extra favors for you?

[cyclists]

Maybe. But if Shirasu can walk again, you don't think he could figure out how to defend himself without his powers? [He's curious, mostly.]

[specialdog]

He'd still be at a disadvantage compared to everyone else, so it's still a way of leveling the field.

[cyclists]

That's not really a compelling argument, Akane. [At least he sounds regretful.] Shirasu's the one who made the argument himself to disable his powers. Breaking his legs was uncalled for and can be fixed.

[specialdog]

Mmm, it's better than nothing. At least he could try to run away if someone decides to take revenge with their powers, I guess?

[cyclists]

I think he stands a better chance fighting with his hands than he does with his powers anyway. [Just saying.] If he's mobile again, that helps, too.

I can assign you a task to help with that part of it. Will you take it?

[specialdog]

If you say so. I feel like these powers are a huge leg-up, but...

[ Well, if a more literal 'leg up' is what she can get, she'll take it. (get it, get it??) ]

[cyclists]

Alright. To help him, find four people, one from each alignment, that can confirm they value your friendship.

[specialdog]

[ Hm. Bad. ]

Hey, are you rigging this against me? People don't actually like me, here. That's a steep price.

[cyclists]

There has to be people that like you, Akane. And it has to be hard because healing magic isn't exactly that easy either.

[specialdog]

A favor like this is totally unfair. There's nothing I can do to convince people to value me if they don't. No one is going to change their minds. You think I haven't been trying to make friends since I got here?

I'm not in control of how other people feel. Can't you give me some kind of favor that I can actually work towards?

[cyclists]

I don't know. I don't know if you've been trying to make friends or just get people to like you. That's two different things. [...] You can at least try. Saying no immediately isn't going to help.

[specialdog]

[ Akane is very offended at the idea that making friends and being liked are two different things, wtf. This is oppression. ]

Fine. Fine, whatever.

[cyclists]

Just try it. If it doesn't work somehow, come back and see me with an update of your progress and we'll figure something out. But you have to at least put in some effort.

[specialdog]
