Hello and welcome to our interest check for Subdivided, an upcoming murdergame set to open June 1st. This will be an elements game intended to accommodate no more than 40 players.
Upon awakening in a place where the darkness touches the light, all participants will find themselves scattered among a quaint village. Dotted with trees, a small pond and sturdy little houses, this place has hardly any modern amenities yet brings all of the comforts of home with it. Though there are four pathways out of the village, all will feel compelled to walk a set path toward a large meeting hall.
Settled beneath a sakura tree just outside of this hall are two hooded figures, a sun stitched on one and a moon on the other. Equipped with a key and a scroll for each participant, they hardly wait for the last person to arrive before they greet everyone quite pleasantly. Despite their calm demeanors, these figures are quick to explain that this is the heart of all worlds. It's a place where a new core of the universe is being housed, but now finds itself under a threat of corruption that will slowly unravel the threads of other worlds.
"Each of you is a being made of darkness and of light. Both are required to win."
Some may ask themselves what, exactly, they're trying to win, but the hosts have an answer for that as well. Participants have been summoned to enter a competition to end the corruption…or unleash it. In this game, the chance to bypass laws of the universe and influence multiple worlds becomes the ultimate prize. With this in mind, the hosts only have one more question for all.
"Which path will you choose to walk?"
Subdivided is a game that deals with the four basic elements (fire, water, earth, air) and the elements of light and darkness in order to rectify the universe. All characters will not only receive a new power but they will be allowed the opportunity to take on tasks that may help or hinder their chances of survival in this setting. Likewise, characters will be challenged weekly and will have to choose if they wish to work together or against one another to find the best solution to this game.
With that introduction to pique your curiosity, here are some highlights to keep in mind:
➹ Characters will appear as if they've been pulled from their current canon point without missing a beat. They will not know how they got there at first until they learn upon game start.
➹ Tentatively there is not a current age limit being enforced for applications. This, of course, will be re-addressed on a case-by-case basis to make sure that, considering the nature of the game, player comfort isn't sacrificed in the spirit of creative freedom. Likewise, characters of any origin, shape, or form may be applied to this game, so long as there's a way that they can be killed. If you're unsure of what you may have in mind, feel free to ask!
➹ Powers will be nerfed upon a character's arrival into the contest's setting, but they'll be assigned something new and fun to experiment with.
➹ Character cast caps are set at four per canon.
➹ While we have a rolling mafia in place, we will also be having murder proposals open for characters to kill at any given week. Being a murdergame, incentives and even explicit bribes may be offered to the characters at various opportunities to motivate them into spilling blood. OOCly, we may be calling for volunteers to keep the game rolling in the case of any slow weeks.
➹ With that in mind, while it's easier to have a character that would be a little bloodthirsty and ready to kill, this is not entirely necessary! Characters should have some negative qualities to draw from, but pures will be able to murder just as well as antagonists.
