... I'm not completely sure, but I think the mission he was on before he came here probably has to do with the Date. We were both owned by them at certain points, which is why Kara-bou and I are close.

[ he knows sol won't understand all of that, but it's just background info ]

He is very loyal to them. When you said that the universe thought this mission was more important than them, he got angry.

Oh. [Well. Okay, that makes sense in context.] Maybe not more important, but just as important. If something happens to this place, it's possible that other places will get changed and there won't even be missions to go back to. Lune and I are trying to stabilize the core and everything, but the universe said we have to pick a path for it.

All of the worlds are connected in a way. I don't know how this one's connected though. [i.e. an explanation why they said this was a little more important. This might not even be true, it's just how they understand it.]

If you want to talk to him again, you should probably explain it like that. He's still mad.

[ it's an understatement, but at the very least kara is just as likely to ignore sol at this point as fight them. it can go either way. ]

I passed through a lot of different hands over the years, so I'm not as attached, but... like I said before, I get why he got mad. But if what you've said is true, you're right.
