COMETS;
Comets

Comets will be called on by Sol and Lune only when they need someone eliminated. Murders must not be made outside of their knowledge and the Comets will not be able to refuse an assignment. Sometimes Comets may be asked to work together, but often times they will have to act alone. However, both Comets must be in attendance when the Signs have an assignment.
When the Signs seek to summon Comets, a portal will appear when a Comet finds themselves alone. Upon entering the portal, they will be brought into a tea room where the Signs are waiting for them. When their visit in the room concludes and they choose to exit, the portal will disappear. Comets will find that no matter how long they spent in the tea Room, no time has elapsed outside of the portal.
Outside of Sign-requested kills, Comets may participate in the game as normal including fulfilling their objectives and using their gifts.
Comets will be able to kill without being put on trial so long as it is a Sign-ordered kill. Any kills Comets make outside of a request are eligible for trial.
What does this mean? This means that Comets will be able to kill without leaving behind any incriminating evidence, and if they are voted for in-trial during a week in which they kill they will not be executed. However, they will become more vulnerable in the following week and be on the list of victims for the following week.
Comets will also be able to receive access to additional tools for murders should Sol and Lune see fit.
Additional notes:
The Comets will be allowed to ask questions about the ongoings of the game and communicate with the Signs in their weekly meetings. They will be able to also receive small hints in the game should they perform well, including game mechanics, locations and more. However, the information received will be up to Sol and Lune's discretion.
Best of luck.

That earns Miki a slightly confused look. ]
What exactly do you mean by that? Did you have to... take care of someone you didn't consider a person anymore?
no subject
[ And at a point in time she’d been the only one in that detached position. ]
So. The answer is kinda up in the air.
no subject
You've had to do something regrettable but necessary, just like now.
[ she nods. ]
Shall we share this burden together? For the greater good?
no subject
I wouldn't expect you to do this alone.
[ she nods back! ]
I don't want him to die, but... I don't want to see something like last week happen again. Too many people were hurt by it, not just Tsurumaru and Mary.
no subject
The alternative is much worse. If we can hinder the darkness, it will be worth it.
[ She looks down at her hands. ]
I suppose we should discuss what we both can do to make this go easier for all of us. First, may I ask for your element? And second, have you told anyone about this duty?
no subject
[ ah. ]
No, I didn't. I'd... almost hoped that we wouldn't ever be called here again. I don't know if it's a good idea to tell anyone or not. Regardless of the reasons, it might be risky.
no subject
I haven't been too open about it, but I'm aligned with earth. I don't think this necessarily has to be a secret when my powers were known back home, but I still... don't know what people will choose to do, especially if the darkness can reach out to anyone.
[ Mary first, then Tokidoki.... or it would've been Tokidoki. Now that they have a first assignment, Four can't say there won't be a second after this. ]
I haven't told anyone about this either. For now, keeping it quiet may be for best, but if you ever change your mind, will you tell me? I'll do the same. Even if I decide to tell someone about what we've been tasked with, I won't mention your name without your permission.
no subject
[ And in the interest of fairness: ]
I’m fire. There are a couple of people who know — one asked and the other could probably put it together with circumstantial evidence if they thought about it. But other than that no one else knows. I haven’t really done much with it anyway. [ Although maybe she should start. ]
If I tell someone about this, then yes I’ll let you know. I won’t mention your name either. [ Neither of them want to do this, as far as she can tell. So there’s no reason to drag both of them down if one is found out. It’s fine, Miki’s used to keeping things close to her chest. ] I think that’s fair.
no subject
[ If it's about fairness, she can at least say that much. ]
I've told one person what element I'm aligned with, but that's the extent of it. We shouldn't be beholden to use these powers given to us, but it wouldn't hurt to know how far your options can reach.
[ She holds out a gloved hand to Miki. ]
This is a terrible task, but I'm relieved if it has to be done to be with someone, it's with someone like you.
no subject
[ She looks at the hand, and after a moment, takes it. ]
Something like this can be overwhelming if it's done alone. I'm sorry either of us were roped into this.
no subject
[ If her doubts hold any water, no one is completely safe.
Four grips her hand briefly before letting it go. ]
I am sorry, too, but we must forge on. We must try to stop this darkness at all costs.
[ Refusing doesn't seem much like an option anymore. ]
no subject
[ Handshake! Of... uh. Contracted assassination. ]
Yes. It's, well. I can't kid myself this is anything other than it is, but if it keeps more people safe then it's worth it.
[ And. Yes. It doesn't seem like they can say no to this. ]
no subject
It's a war you'll have to win within yourself. How far can you push yourself for this? It breaks my heart every time, but I tell myself, if it's for the good of everyone, it's what's right.
And if it's right, what we're doing can't be wrong.
[ At the very least, Four seems convinced about that. ]
no subject
Some people won't see it that way. And, justified or not, I think if you forget what you've essentially done it can be the start of a slippery slope. At best, it's a necessary evil.
But it's what we have to do. [ Apparently. ]
no subject
[ She sounds concerned. They may have talked about not having much of a choice and how it's necessary and it should be worth it, but...
Who knows how the reality of the act will affect Miki? ]
no subject
[ Probably. ]
It'd be hypocritical if I wasn't.
no subject
[ She folds her hands in front of her heart. ]
If you need someone to talk to after this, I'll listen.
[ After all, this is their secret to share. ]
no subject
[ She folds her arms across her chest, but then nods. ]
But thank you. You too, you know. This is a lot, for anyone.
no subject
[ Four tries to keep some of her emotions under control all the time, but that doesn't mean she can't acknowledge they're there. ]
It goes for me as well. Thank you.
no subject
[ she tilts her head. ]
When I think about it, this isn't too different to home. And if I can do this back home then... [ ... she sighs. ] But both here and there I'm probably just justifying myself.
no subject
[ She sounds concerned. ]
And isn't that what would happen if you didn't? [ Perform these sorts of murders and justify it. ] You'd become even more unsafe. You'd welcome death more easily. To yourself and everyone else.
no subject
We don't know if things can be fixed back home. Or if it's too late to help most people if we do find something. But here it feels more like we might be able to do something - that's why we were brought here, right?
So, this feels a bit like giving up on them. But if they're going to hurt someone anyway...
no subject
[ Which means it must suck no matter where Miki is. ]
... But if they're going to hurt someone and it seems like he's the type to not want to hurt anyone, isn't it ultimately good in the end? It's mercy.
[ And justice. ]
no subject
[ Press F to pay respects to Miki. ]
I hope so. All we can really do is hope it works out.
no subject
If it's better here... [ yikes. ] Hopefully, our actions will guide the way to a brighter and more stable universe.
[ smash cut to three dead on Friday and everyone scrambling at the end of Saturday ]
