Comets

Comets will be called on by Sol and Lune only when they need someone eliminated. Murders must not be made outside of their knowledge and the Comets will not be able to refuse an assignment. Sometimes Comets may be asked to work together, but often times they will have to act alone. However, both Comets must be in attendance when the Signs have an assignment.

When the Signs seek to summon Comets, a portal will appear when a Comet finds themselves alone. Upon entering the portal, they will be brought into a tea room where the Signs are waiting for them. When their visit in the room concludes and they choose to exit, the portal will disappear. Comets will find that no matter how long they spent in the tea Room, no time has elapsed outside of the portal.

Outside of Sign-requested kills, Comets may participate in the game as normal including fulfilling their objectives and using their gifts.

Comets will be able to kill without being put on trial so long as it is a Sign-ordered kill. Any kills Comets make outside of a request are eligible for trial.

What does this mean? This means that Comets will be able to kill without leaving behind any incriminating evidence, and if they are voted for in-trial during a week in which they kill they will not be executed. However, they will become more vulnerable in the following week and be on the list of victims for the following week.

Comets will also be able to receive access to additional tools for murders should Sol and Lune see fit.

Additional notes:
The Comets will be allowed to ask questions about the ongoings of the game and communicate with the Signs in their weekly meetings. They will be able to also receive small hints in the game should they perform well, including game mechanics, locations and more. However, the information received will be up to Sol and Lune's discretion.

[ She didn't know it'd be this soon, but maybe she should've expected it after the trial.

Four is silent for a moment before she approaches Sol. ]

Do you know why... he has to be eliminated?

[They aren't too happy either, but at least they have an answer this time.]

...after what happened with Mary, Lune and I went to see if there was any other way to stop this. It was sort of like with that gateway to the other place...we could sense a darkness there, and we could sense a darkness starting to make its way to him.

[ She nods after a second, contemplative. ]

So... before it can reach him and make him take someone else's life, we have to cut off the route to corruption?

[ Is that it? ]

Right. That's the plan at least, and...it's not really a great one, but if we can purify them before it gets too bad it'll save someone else.

Better one than two. It makes sense. It's still tragic, but... it could be sadder.

Yeah...it's still not really an easy task, but this is our best solution because at least we know this will work. That has to make it a little better at least, right?

[ Will it be better if or when others find out what they're doing? That remains to be answered. ]

... I suppose so. If it truly will help banish that evil, then it's what we must do. The universe must be saved.

[A firm nod.]

I kinda wonder why the universe didn't give us a heads up last time about Mary. Like they didn't want us to find her, but that doesn't make any sense either.

[It probably means nothing but Sol always questions everything about their superiors including a mass void like the universe.]

[ Four goes very still, contemplating what Sol just said. ]

Are you certain about that? Who can say what the universe is thinking?

[ Her voice is light. ]

For as much as you try to talk to them, how much of their intentions can you read?

[Four no, don't make them actually remember how frustrating it is. ]

...not as much as I want, I guess. Sometimes we get our questions ignored and sometimes they give us information without warning. But we're just supposed to be the guides. They could be limiting us however they think is needed. But that's why we need you guys.

[ it's too late there's no going back ]

Aren't we all limited in some way because of them? It sounds like they're inconsiderate for all the help they want us to give them.

[ Whatever they think is "needed" kind of sucks tbh? ]

...they are, in a way, but my hands and Lune's are tied. [Oh?] We agreed to help but that meant not being able to interfere with your choices. It gives them a way to keep us quiet from telling you guys too much, and from us knowing anything before they want us to.

The limits are really frustrating. I get it. But there are some things that are way too important to risk right now.

[ Oh indeed. It's food for thought, information that Four will chew on for the rest of week. ]

Important for you? Or important for everyone?

...don't be mad. [That's not reassuring.] But it's both.

[ Her eyes narrow. Don't lead your statements like that, Sol?

Is it the room, or did the temperature just drop a degree or two? ]

... I expected as much. You two have as much at stake as the rest of us. You're not completely impartial.

The things that are important to me are actually really important for everyone and keeping the world order. So if that means working with the universe for a little while, fine.

But it's not like I want to see anything bad happen to all of those other worlds you came from either.

[ Not everyone has the same priorities, but she understands what he's trying to say.

I didn't mean to imply that. I'm not the kind of person who'd fling out accusations needlessly. Is that what others have been accusing you of?

...sometimes people just don't understand what we're doing and how our hands are tied. I get it though. Everybody has their own plan for stuff and it doesn't always add up.

I doubt it'll end well for everyone. Some of these people... make me concerned. Even without the darkness...

[ She's real worried, Sol. ]

...who in particular are you thinking of anyway? That sounds like you've got someone specific in mind.

I've only interacted with him during the trial, but what I heard from him was enough.

[I'm sorry this is so immediate but Sol has Very Strong Feelings about Hisoka.]

[ That almost makes Four laugh. That's so quick and vehement.

She smiles and then shakes her head. ]

You really aren't impartial. What has he done to you?

It's a long story, but he doesn't fight fair.

I'm not surprised. He doesn't sound like the sort of man who does.
