Comets

Comets will be called on by Sol and Lune only when they need someone eliminated. Murders must not be made outside of their knowledge and the Comets will not be able to refuse an assignment. Sometimes Comets may be asked to work together, but often times they will have to act alone. However, both Comets must be in attendance when the Signs have an assignment.

When the Signs seek to summon Comets, a portal will appear when a Comet finds themselves alone. Upon entering the portal, they will be brought into a tea room where the Signs are waiting for them. When their visit in the room concludes and they choose to exit, the portal will disappear. Comets will find that no matter how long they spent in the tea Room, no time has elapsed outside of the portal.

Outside of Sign-requested kills, Comets may participate in the game as normal including fulfilling their objectives and using their gifts.

Comets will be able to kill without being put on trial so long as it is a Sign-ordered kill. Any kills Comets make outside of a request are eligible for trial.

What does this mean? This means that Comets will be able to kill without leaving behind any incriminating evidence, and if they are voted for in-trial during a week in which they kill they will not be executed. However, they will become more vulnerable in the following week and be on the list of victims for the following week.

Comets will also be able to receive access to additional tools for murders should Sol and Lune see fit.

Additional notes:
The Comets will be allowed to ask questions about the ongoings of the game and communicate with the Signs in their weekly meetings. They will be able to also receive small hints in the game should they perform well, including game mechanics, locations and more. However, the information received will be up to Sol and Lune's discretion.

[ Her answer is immediate, and it sounds like it pains her.

Happiness is not the same for everyone. ]

Then the first answer would be what happiness is. [Kind of a somber note, but worth consideration.]

Choosing a way to control the darkness so that happiness can happen...maybe that's what this is about for you. [Who knows.]

I know what happiness means for me. I know it's not same for at least one person.

[ She breathes out a long, shuddering breath. ]

I wonder if... I hope controlling that darkness could eventually lead to an understanding. For more people.

Lune and I don't want to see anyone get hurt. [Just to reiterate that. However...] But I don't think all darkness is bad. It's about mastering it in a way that works best.

What kind of an understanding? [Sol's also aware they're going way off topic, but that's fine.]

A peaceful one without too much death.

[ She says it plainly. ]

I'd like that, too. [A bow of their head.] I knew you were a good pick for this job.

[ A smile curls her lips, and a small blush rises to her cheeks. It makes her happy when people say she's worth something.

Even if it's for something like this, to be just appreciated somehow... it's enough. ]

Thank you. [There's also relief in their tone because this isn't a good job, and it's unfair, but necessary.] I hope we won't have to ask you for your help with this anytime soon, but...I'd still like to get to know you anyway. If we're working together.

[Sol likes asking questions and learning what they can, and while they straight-up just asked Four and Miki both to assist with a dirty job there's still a curiosity there.] That way we can help you better, too.

[ It takes a moment before Four nods, but she does nod. ]

All right. I'd like to get to know you, too. Is there anything you'd like to know now?

Um...[What would they like to know most...] Are you getting along with the person you're staying with?

[What does that matter. It doesn't, but it's mostly curious. It's also less intrusive and rude than "are you here alone?"]

I am. He seems courteous and thoughtful. He's better than the person I usually have to live with.

[ If Sol listens closely, her tone at the end grows a little cold. ]

[Yeah, that's kinda hard to miss, Four. They don't know too much about their roommate as of yet, but it's probably better for everyone if they get along while she's assigned a task like this.]

What about the other people here?

I don't think there's anyone I can't get along with yet, but I haven't talked to everyone.

[ She hasn't formally met Hisoka yet. ]

[Fair.]

That's a pretty good skill to have, too. If we're all working on the same thing, being able to connect with everyone will make decisions a little easier.

[ ... ]

What about the people who refuse to connect? What, then?

They'll have a harder time being heard. The whole thing is about giving one chance to dictate what will happen with the universe while it's settling in after being born. I don't know how I'd feel about listening to someone who didn't even try to work on a bigger picture.

... Hm.

[ Is it a thoughtful hm, or is it a dismissive hm? It's hard to say. ]

I suppose you're right. We're all trapped here, so we should all try to at least read from the same page.

And if not on the same page, at least know what other people are going after to side with them or disarm them. [Um. Sure.]

[ That doesn't sound weird or wrong at all to Four?

She nods. ]

The more you know, the better off you'll be. Knowledge is power.

Exactly. So find as much knowledge as you can and hold onto it. That'll be what gets us through this.

... I will. Are you going to do the same?

We're not going to stop. [How to explain...] Lune and I are kind of like go-betweens for you and the universe. We'll keep asking them for answers as long as we can.

[ Honestly, the concept of communicating with the universe is strange to Four. ]

... How often does the universe answer you?

Not as often as I want it to. Maybe once or twice a week?
