Comets

Comets will be called on by Sol and Lune only when they need someone eliminated. Murders must not be made outside of their knowledge and the Comets will not be able to refuse an assignment. Sometimes Comets may be asked to work together, but often times they will have to act alone. However, both Comets must be in attendance when the Signs have an assignment.

When the Signs seek to summon Comets, a portal will appear when a Comet finds themselves alone. Upon entering the portal, they will be brought into a tea room where the Signs are waiting for them. When their visit in the room concludes and they choose to exit, the portal will disappear. Comets will find that no matter how long they spent in the tea Room, no time has elapsed outside of the portal.

Outside of Sign-requested kills, Comets may participate in the game as normal including fulfilling their objectives and using their gifts.

Comets will be able to kill without being put on trial so long as it is a Sign-ordered kill. Any kills Comets make outside of a request are eligible for trial.

What does this mean? This means that Comets will be able to kill without leaving behind any incriminating evidence, and if they are voted for in-trial during a week in which they kill they will not be executed. However, they will become more vulnerable in the following week and be on the list of victims for the following week.

Comets will also be able to receive access to additional tools for murders should Sol and Lune see fit.

Additional notes:
The Comets will be allowed to ask questions about the ongoings of the game and communicate with the Signs in their weekly meetings. They will be able to also receive small hints in the game should they perform well, including game mechanics, locations and more. However, the information received will be up to Sol and Lune's discretion.

We don't know yet. [And if Sol sounds equally unhappy it's because they are. Also Sol's grown used to everyone asking questions and getting mad it's fine.] The scrolls appeared last night, we didn't...this wasn't part of it when we spoke with you yesterday. Lune and I aren't any happier than you guys are.

I thought you two were supposed to be in charge of us here. You don't even have control over what happens to us, or what happens here?

We were only brought here a few weeks before you were. We're...we have access to places you don't, and we can ask questions there, but we're still learning the ways of the universe, too.

So they're laying the responsibility of balancing out a world on the shoulders of a bunch of mostly-strangers that might end up eliminated for some reason or not, and two shady people who don't know half of what's going on?

[ ??? This wasn't amazing to be with and now it's just worse. ]

Shady? [Like. Yes, Sol, you're shady as hell.] There's gotta be something we just don't see yet. We're working on it.

[ Sure are, Sol. ]

I literally can't see your face. I'd say that's pretty shady?

Can you work on it a little quicker? If people's lives are on the line, then this is even more serious than I'd first assumed.

Well, yes, but... saying something and then placing the knowledge we might have to, what, assassinate people on someone's vague plan or whim? That's a lot more than just words.

[There's a small sigh.]

...to be honest, Lune and I are just as worried about it as you guys are and hopefully we won't have to have you take action. Maybe there's something we're misreading or we'll get clarification the next time we ask. But right now we don't have an assignment for you, so...it's okay.

[Right? Sol sounds very uncertain, actually, but at least it's clear they're not into the idea of needlessly killing.]

If you can it'd be appreciated. Just because there isn't an assignment now doesn't mean there never will be.

If we have anything to say about it, we'll hold off as long as we can. At least until we understand why they're asking us. [Ugh.]

That's a interesting question. None of this seems like an offer, it seems like an order.

But I have people I need to get back to. So I don't think I have luxury to sit back and hope everything just works out.

Maybe because it is. [Which is a strange realization, but here we are.]

Lune and I have things to get back to, too. All of you do. That's why…that's why I'm following orders for now. [For now.] I don't want to see the core destroyed in case it changes everything I know. But we can't interfere either. It's up to all of you instead.

That's so... half hearted. You don't want to see us hurt, but you don't care enough to risk the world to ensure that.

So you're stuck in the middle and nothing will change.

No offense? But no. I don't want to put my world, and possibly all of yours, at a risk until we know how this core will grow and change.

[At least they're honest.] But that doesn't mean I want casualties either.

But when you put it that way, it'd be hypocritical of me to hold it over you too much. I already want to help my home as is.

[There's a pause.]

...we'll help you as much as we can if you'll help us. Can we agree on that, at least?

[Because yes they can recognize they're being sort of ridiculous.]
