But mmm, yes. Minato, for one- Akane's attached to him, and for all her efforts when other people are involved, it seems she's rather biased when he comes up. Akane herself, too- just for how much of a busybody she is and how much she's managed to get out of everyone here, and regardless of her intentions she's managed to do some good. Shess, on the other hand, is one of our few relatively consistent points of reason, and I'm not keen on seeing that applied when twisted by the darkness.

Of course, since it's been well established that you don't need to be corrupted to try to kill, I have to wonder if a protection against someone getting hurt might not provide more use in the end- but I don't know how feasible that is.
Something like that. Lune and I have come to realize that when things happen where the darkness interferes, we're not allowed to come over to that side and help. Kind of like what happens on Thursday nights. We're blocked from meddling for whatever reason.
...do you trust Akane's information? I've only talked to her once or twice. But I can see why you'd mention the others. Shess especially given how he operates, and Minato's sometimes a danger to himself. To see him potentially being a danger to others is...bad.
It is possible to get an item to protect someone who's targeted. But...for somethinglike that there has to be an equal exchange in return.
Do I trust her? Absolutely not. [ that comes out pretty sharply; what does Sol take him for. ] She's hidden things before, and I doubt this is the start of a sudden change of heart or commitment to transparency.
But what I do trust is her sense of self-preservation, so as long as that's tied to the well-being of the group as a whole I can expect her to not be completely unhelpful.

If the darkness is smart, it'd be because they're a strategic target. Someone who's too useful to leave alone, or someone whose loss would keenly affect the others here enough that we might not be able to work well enough to resolve all this.
But ... given our examples so far, it also seems predisposed to targeting the people least likely to be suspected. I'd rather not chance things on it continuing to hold to that pattern, though.
I meant more the person targeting someone would be corrupted in the first place and would have to be wiped out, but the rest isn't a bad way to look at this.
