If the darkness is smart, it'd be because they're a strategic target. Someone who's too useful to leave alone, or someone whose loss would keenly affect the others here enough that we might not be able to work well enough to resolve all this.
But ... given our examples so far, it also seems predisposed to targeting the people least likely to be suspected. I'd rather not chance things on it continuing to hold to that pattern, though.
I meant more the person targeting someone would be corrupted in the first place and would have to be wiped out, but the rest isn't a bad way to look at this.
It doesn't matter who it is. The corruption isn't picky, and we unfortunately can't be either if we're going to eliminate it.
Don't stay our hands because of preconceived notions of who or who might not be deserving. [ he sighs, but- ] Honestly, I think we should have learnt that after Mary.
... But is that just a reminder, then, or do you mean that to get anything that would be capable of protecting someone, I'd have to in turn find one of the corrupted and deal with them accordingly?
[ in as much as the corrupted can ever be dealt with, really. ]
You'd have to do a task to gain favor and something that allows a protection capability, but to protect someone targeted you would have to eliminate the person who is targeting them. Get it?
Loud and clear. In that case, I'll... opt for the former. [ the way people treat killers here, even if understandable... ] What sort of task is it that I'd need to complete?
...I think you're misunderstanding. That's all one thing. [So unless Julius is asking for an item that might act as a deflection token, protection comes with a price.]
But maybe it's possible to allow someone else to be alerted if they're targeted so they can prepare.
Ah. Well. [ he looks briefly troubled? maybe, but it quickly closes off. ] Maybe... don't dismiss either of those just yet, but I might as well ask first- what about the matter from the last time we spoke? About an answer as to whether or not it'd be possible to obtain something to stall the darkness for a week, in the case of an unpaired person?
Mm...it's possible to find them, even if they aren't things we ourselves can generate easily. You've heard, haven't you? About some of the places people disappear to.
really glad my html didn't look different on my ipad, my bad.
[Sol is apparently leaving the Akane thing alone because, hm. Not sure yet.]
no worries, it looked the same on my phone too so i didn't even notice until i got to my computer
