It would have been distracting. And... I guess if I was hiding what Emma did, I should have wanted a distraction, but I think Julius deserved better than that.

Yeah. I do, too. I get that they wanted to be thorough because he was corrupted, but my thing is now wondering if people are going to use that as an excuse going forward.

I know she's your partner, and I like North most of the time, but I don't know what's going to happen to them next. Especially if Milla finds out.

I don't want someone to kill them in retaliation. Or if there's every a time where we can't figure out who to vote for in a trial, people might default to them.

Exactly. And if it comes out in the open, I'm worried the corruption will latch onto that. Even if it's not so much about what they did people are pretty resentful of secrets around here.

I wonder why they didn't just let us catch him in trial? Unless they were worried there would be another corrupted person...

I think they were counting on another corrupted person when they did the murder in the first place. Even then, you saw what happened when people tried to pin Shirasu, didn't you? It was a lot of chaos.

I'm surprised they didn't try to do the same to Akane, but maybe they figured she wouldn't put up a fight?

The worst part is we can speculate all we want and we may never get an answer. I don't get how this keeps happening. [Ugggh...] But I'm surprised, too. Then again, Akane's a little...dangerous.

Lune and I can step in and stop them if we have to, if things get out of hand. There are still people who spar together and their elements are all still working, but nobody can die again or anything.

Besides, if I have to I'll just seal away their elements if they aren't behaving.

That's good. I can imagine that there might be some tension there, especially after the last few weeks...

It's weirdly more peaceful than you'd think. Besides the obvious problems, most people seem to be getting along because they know there isn't anything worth fighting about anymore.

... when you put it like that, it sounds more sad.

I know. But at least they don't have to be scared on that side. That's what I have to remember.

It's as good as it can be. [Not that great.] As long as that plane exists, everyone is still tethered to the universe somehow. Nobody has to disappear. That's what's important.
