[For the first time talking to Lune, a little bit of anger leaks into her voice.]

You don't have to make it sound nice. They're scared they're going to die.

I apologize - it’s not my intention to lessen the burden they bear.

...Why do you sound so calm about this?

[Sound, she says, because at least she realizes it might not mirror how he really feels about it.]

... it's difficult to say, if it's naturally in my countenance to retain an air of calm, or if I simply do not know yet how to properly express how I feel on such matters.

I know that I am not pleased... but I am also not entirely unfamiliar with the feeling of having to watch and wait, and place hope in others.

Before you came here, you mean? Was something similar to this going on...?

Hmm... not quite. Rather, the immediate time before I came here, I was actually quite enjoying the ability to exercise my own will, regardless of what others thought.

[grandpa was having a great time]

But for a large part of my life... I could not.

Rather, I was a tool to be used by others, and to witness their actions without ability to stop them.

...Well, that sounds pretty miserable.

I assume to a human that it would be. You all so desperately wish to claim your own destinies. It's admirable.

[but there is a smile nonetheless]

However it gave me plenty of time to observe others, to watch the ways in which they would only do what they thought was best at the time. Of course, it led to just as many failures as it did triumphs... and experiencing those emotions for myself is still incredibly different than watching.

But I suppose it did teach me a large amount of patience, and fondness.

[It's hard for her to understand or accept being fine with that, but she doesn't comment on it. Instead:]

So... What changed that made you able to be like the rest of us, now? Unless it was just being brought here.

I was granted a human form.

[and lune will bring their hand up, as if to demonstrate what he means]

A heart, hands, the emotions that come with being human... My master summoned me forth, so I may be able to fight for them and defend history.

It has been rather fun.

[She nods, even though she has about 0% idea what he's talking about.]

So... What were you before you were like this?

[cyclists]

A weapon.

My original name means 'crescent moon' and those were the shapes that were imprinted on my blade. Others would be kind enough to say that I was renowned as the most beautiful blade in history.

[he seems just

[She's about to ask a question, but then realizes there's probably no way she's going to really understand how that transformation took place.]

Okay. Well... I'm glad you're here with us like this, at least.

... I understand that what transpires here is a hardship on all of you... but regardless, I am happy for the chance to meet each of you as my current self.
