[North will hate everything about this in a hot second. But for now, Lune will find himself experiencing a memory.

The scene is... messy, to say the least. Dodging bullets. Running up the stairs. Slamming the door shut as soon as all three of her teammates have made it up to the rooftop. North is running behind the group, acting as the rearguard while the humans chase after them. She's frazzled, eyes darting back and forth between the locked door and the drops of blue blood staining the floor. Her leader kneels down next to one of her teammates, assessing his injuries while their LEDs spin red.

"I can't move my legs..."

"Okay, don't worry! We're gonna get you back..."

But there's no time for this. North takes a step away from the door, her back to her team as she waits for the humans to burst in any second now. "They're coming, Markus," she breathes, hands hovering over her holster. "We have to jump. Now."

One of her teammates continues to bleed all over the floor, internal wiring exposed for the whole world to see. She moves closer to the rest of the group. Markus, her leader, keeps her back turned to them until the other member of their group begins to speak.

"He won't be able to make the jump..." he whispers, the words rushed and frantic. "If they find him, they'll access his memory... They'll know everything."

North glances back at her injured friend. Watches the thirium drain out of him. Feels desperation choke her. "We can't leave him behind..." she says, pointing out the obvious — right before a solution springs to mind. She doesn't like it. She knows the others won't like it, either. But she turns around to face them, nonetheless. "We have to shoot him."

The reaction is almost immediate.

"That's murder! We can't kill him! He's one of us!"

Exasperation seeps into her entire being. The gal of it is enough to make her want to throttle them. She knows that he's one of them. She knows that this isn't a decision to be taken lightly. But if it's between dying free or being used as a tool against your friends, then the choice should be obvious. She would—

Well.

The memory ends before a decision is made.

And as the two of them are freed from the memory's grasp, North takes the opportunity to move the fuck out of his reach. Bye.]
