Humans are wont to create and destroy at any moment's notice. Though at times I feel as though the driving forces for that are primarily fear and affection. Or at times, fear that what they are fond of will be taken from them.
Even now, I cannot help but find affection for all that I've seen - even if I find it perplexing.
Who can say? Kali, Goddess of Chaos, hates any creation that is stronger than her, and the universe that houses these creations. The others are concerned primarily for the lifespan of the universe, and even that concern has faded after the early days.
But for races like mine and the gods [i'm sorry that gods =/= primeval gods and however confusing that makes it when shess talks] then how should one view infinite time?
[they seem rather pleased with it, really - though also like it's expected]
I cannot say. Even I do not know when my life will find an end - perhaps I wonder if I will ever grow bored of watching others, or if my views will ever change.

Do they not hold affection for the universe they observe?

For all the years that I have lived, it had not occurred to me to believe that those who live their lives are worth giving up on.
Even if they are capable of unprecedented disaster, they are just as capable of creating their own hope.

For many, a given amount of worth can be placed on a life. I can't imagine the kind of society you come from where that idea is so alien.

I have heard that many times - and I am sure I will hear it many times again.
However in this case, it does not sound like a single life.
Am I wrong?

[though even that doesn't sound particularly judgmental or damning]
A human may live but 100 years - which is not a great number in comparison to our ages. However for them, that 100 is all they are able to receive.
Even so, I would like to respect the finite time that they have.
