but ugh roxas. tsuru immediately decided that he liked him from their first conversation?? granted it's hard to get tsuru to dislike you because he's so easy going, but he immediately decided he was a good child. he shared a little about what was happening before he got there simply bc he was like, "well if he's supposed to be a guide then he should have an idea of who he's dealing with here" but it's fine. he was very ready to try to befriend him!!! it was gonna be great

and then he died and... tsuru still ended up befriending him anyway, so it's fine. but after he died, tsuru basically started to try to befriend roxas a lot more than he probably would have otherwise. not that he wouldn't if he was alive, but tsuru just had... so much time to kill in the gy when he wasn't doing tasks, and in the early on it was mostly very young people who were dealing with the trauma of death and failure so tsuru didn't want to bother them as much as he would have otherwise, so he. ran to roxas. and he enjoyed it because he genuinely ended up liking him a lot?? hanging out with him was fun, he loved just goofing off with him and doing fun and stupid things like play video games or talk about salamanders or play hide and seek?? it was such an enjoyable experience in such a bleak situation.

but he also... respected his opinion a lot. hilariously, tsuru talked about plot with roxas more than he did with jiji because tsuru actually trusted roxas more to be honest about things lmao. so there were certain things where he was just "ok i don't have time for flowery metaphors, time to talk to the sun" and that was fine. roxas may have been a small bab in his eyes, but he was still competent and worked hard and tsuru thought he was cool??

and he also could see how much roxas and jiji meant to each other. and tsuru appreciates people who look after those he care about? so roxas being so dedicated to mikazuki made tsuru even more fond of roxas. so he was just, "well my boyfriend adopted him so ig i am also adopting him" and it was fine. he also Related to him because roxas had so many friends here and he was so concerned about their safety and taking care of them, and tsuru felt that way about kara (and also jiji, but worrying about jiji is fucking exhausting).

but yea, tsuru cared about roxas a lot and he kind of regrets giving him too much info about him because he didn't want roxas to be worried about him lmao. but it's fine.... it's good.... he'll just tiptoe away like nothing happened

OH RIGHT AND ALSO tsuru was very 🔪 at the thought of anyone killing roxas and the only reason he wasn't that mad about it in the end is that it was his friends who did it. since tsuru was like "only a sword should break a sword" he applied the same logic to that "well only one of his close friends should do it" so.... yes. anyone else would have been on tsuru's shit list even if it was supposed to happen to get a good end but it's FINE
