ROXAS AND EMMA IS THE CLOSEST I THINK WE HAVE EVER HAD TO NEGATIVE CR, ELI, AND IT'S SO FUNNY AND SO AWFUL FOR SO MANY REASONS.
Overall, it's not even that he dislikes Emma. He has seen that Emma's been kind to his friends and she obviously cares a lot about Axel and Naminé in particular. He's seen that she's used her role for good, that she's been planning with other people, and that he's actively tried to help in trials to solve this problem they were having. He thinks she's brave when she has to be and she's clever and good at working with people. He doesn't regret picking her as his Nova pick and he can't even say he really minds her coming back to KH land with them.
However, he also can't shake off the things she's said to him and the actions that followed because those speak volumes to him in comparison to the other things he's seen her do to other people or their early interactions. Despite the fact that she apologized, her lack of follow-up after that and actively speaking to Lune and not him kind of left him with the impression that she only apologized because she felt like she had to and not that she meant it. He confided in Axel weeks ago (week 3??) that it felt like a lot of people only came to him to get information and then would leave instead of trying to talk to him as a person (versus what he assumed was happening with Lune based on how people spoke of/to Lune) and it was something he noticed in Emma as well. He feels weird about it because it's not like he really blames her given she's an adult and he's not, but that coupled with their argument and how things were never quite fixed after that has left a weird unsettled feeling there.
He feels like Emma's a double-edged sword because while he can understand letting your emotions drive you and using them to fight, sometimes he felt like Emma's motivations were a little selfish and driven by her own emotions and how things would impact her rather than how things would impact the entire game. He's found that he's told her some really personal things and it looped back to being about her and her situation, and while he gets it because he's just a guide, it was still an endless cycle of frustration for him. MOST OF THIS WAS STRAIGHT UP "she gets along with my friends, why can't I figure this out?"
In the end he's accepted that he has to just deal with it and he's cautious about approaching her because he doesn't trust her. He likes her just fine and he'll be polite to her, but he doesn't trust her enough to open back up to her or try to mend that gap on his own.
So. Going home should be lots of fun.
