anyway naminé's initial opinion on lili is that she seemed to be a very opinionated girl who moved around like she was six feet tall. it was interesting, because she had never actually met another girl like lili before?? ADMITTEDLY, THAT'S NOT SAYING MUCH, as naminé had only met a total of three girls before coming here but the point still stands regardless. but during trial she didn't seem afraid to give her opinion or when she thought something was dumb or wrong, and naminé was just kind of :o at that considering she usually keeps her own opinions to herself for the most part. but at the same time, she was very... amused? at lili? because their first conversation was the one where lili said she and xion were really alike because they were basically pushovers and naminé thought that was hilarious?? since xion would go feral if you look at her wrong, her canon point was just unfortunato so she was keeping to herself more
but when lili asked naminé why wasn't she defending herself and only defending xion, naminé was taken a little aback since... why would she defend herself. it didn't make sense to her. because like, naminé isn't a pushover when it comes to certain things?? but it depends on what those things are, otherwise then yeah she'll probably just sit through it because defending herself literally just did not matter to her. she's fully aware of what her flaws her and what she can or cannot do, so if someone hits on those flaws it's just like "yea ok." but after that she figured that she and lili just weren't going to get along because lili probably disliked her lmao
but then it turned out they were actually pretty similar in a lot of ways?? they have similar backgrounds because they were both extremely isolated but then found a reason to break out of it, they're both very determined and loyal to their specific causes, and also they're both shitty at thinking people like that. it's funny that they kept agreeing on a lot of things but the way they expressed that agreement was different, so at first glance you probably wouldn't realize? that they were alike?? just because their personalities were different. but naminé realized this after talking to her more
the main difference, i think, is that naminé is, in fact, a lot shadier than lili is. even though she wasn't aware of how much incriminating evidence xion had pointing to her, she still covered for her without even questioning if it was a good idea or not, just because they asked her to help. and in canon she did kind of screw a lot of people over, and even though it was for a good reason that did turn out to be for the best, that didn't really make it less of a shitty thing to do. and she knew that lili probably wouldn't have approved of this if she learned about it, so to naminé, lili was like... this kind of really bright person who it would be nice to be more like, because even if she was rude and sometimes dense about certain things, she was a genuinely good person and naminé greatly admires people like that
she did consider lili a friend, but she doesn't think the feeling is mutual. which.... is fine, tbh, because that's how naminé thinks all her friendships are so she didn't think anything of it rip

anyway so naminé liked lune right away? he seemed very nice and just the kind of person who would be very calming to talk to. but mostly it was just very nice because like, he didn't actually treat her like a child? like, he did in some ways because he was obviously much older than her, but it wasn't in a way that felt condescending or like he didn't value her opinion just because he had more life experience than her. so when she talked to him, he made her feel like an equal, while also giving her the sense that he was there to take care of her if she needed it, which is a hard balance to maintain but he managed it
but what really got her to put faith in him is literally just how much roxas adored him lmao. roxas loved jiji so much and he made it so obvious that he did, so naminé was just "well lune must be very great!!" she... never did seek him out as much, mostly because yeah she was horribly biased in the npc department. but also because she was aware that people spoke to mikazuki more than they did with roxas, so she went out of her way to talk to roxas more to try to make up for it... she didn't think badly of jiji for that though or anything since she knew it wasn't his fault. she was just annoyed at everyone else.
she never bothered to ask him to dehood or for his name or anything because she didn't think it was any of her business if he wanted to keep it a secret? it was fine. she was okay with just gossiping about roxas with him and just chatting with him!!! she was also :o at him because of how he interacted with axel though.... that was a lot of touching but she did not judge.
