minato always considered north a very very practical person and he liked that A LOT about her, how she can be reasonable about things and not be clouded by human traditions that don't make sense anyways. like how burying possessions with the dead is stupid when it should be shared among people who are actually alive to use them... minato was also "hell yeah humans can be stupid sometimes" lmao
for a lot of the game, minato was so resistant to the idea that sometimes people are shitty and kill for no reason, and that sometimes people will stab you in the back even if you consider them friends, and they're both harsh realities that he refuses to consider but could see the truth in it in the end, and it's bc of these thing that minato believed that north would do what needs to be done to get rid of the corruption and get them all out of this situation, bc she isn't blinded by optimism like minato is

and then he sent her his shopping list of things to send over and she actually pulled through instead of ignoring it or (most importantly) asking him why before doing it, and that sealed the deal for minato believing she was the best choice to be the last person standing, bc north is somebody who gets things done. minato voted north bc she got him gifts and he is biased
