Both, technically. He seems to like living with me so I didn't want to get rid of him. [He likes this cat.
But there's a nod because yes, exactly, Miki understands.]
That's it. And with the Last Man Standing...it'll be the person who gets to decide how the universe will proceed. You can understand why it's important to do the right thing.
Pets are nice. They can be tricky and a bit flighty, but they're sweet and good companionship.
[ her pocket squeaks. just ignore it. ]
... And that's the plan. The fate of the universe and it's left to one person surviving over all others and who that person is could be completely random -- AND we need to be sure they won't get Corrupted as well?
[His head turns to look at Miki's pocket, but...he nods. He'll accept that and pat his cloak again. He's rather talk about pets forever, but he has a feeling this is more important.]
You got it in one. Sounds like they finally told you what's up. [They being the dead, he means.] So what do you think the next step is?
[ it's okay, she'd rather talk about that too but alas. ]
... I would pick a couple of people who I thought would choose the right path. Or the path I feel is the right one. Talk it out with the others, and work out the best possible plan to keep that person safe.
Of course, I'd want to find a way to avoid the Last Man Standing scenario entirely, but... ignoring that possibility would be too risky.
Don't ignore it. Ignoring it is going to be what throws everybody off in the end...but planning isn't bad either as long as it's not enough to draw the attention of the corruption. I don't think going in without a plan is a great idea, but as long as everyone can be flexible with their plan, too, we might get through this with as few casualties as possible.
No, I know it can't be ignored. "Hope for the best, but expect the worst".
More than one person, and try not make it clear who is being prioritised then. Say, if we learn a language here and use it communicate, can the Corruption understand it if it's possessing someone? That could make this a lot easier or trickier.
Some of us learned Morse Code since arriving. It could be useful for signalling plans, who to protect, who to watch and such without the Corruption knowing what we meant.
It's entirely possible. You're still you even if you're corrupted, and there are parts of you the corruption can twist around, but I think...there are still times clarity exists. And those are the times you can take advantage of if you have to.
During the week as well? Whenever the Corruption possesses someone, it can see what we see and knows what we learn that week. Or, that’s what I’ve been told.
I’m assuming it doesn’t immediately take on all our knowledge as well, like languages we know? Because if we use it sparingly enough, it might not seem like a threat and something the Corruption deems note-worthy.
It doesn't take its full hold until Thursdays from what we've observed. So, with that in mind, I don't think it takes on everything immediately. It would have to work a lot faster otherwise.
So it's not fully aware from the start... there's more time. That's good to know.
[ She'll have to try and get that information to someone. ] Keep any plans as obscure from it as possible, and we might stand a chance of getting the upper hand.
Trust is tricky because it's just as easy to lose it as it is to gain it. [He brings a hand to his chin to think.] Working together and training as a team might help. If everybody's on the same page, there's more of a reason to share what you know in other ways.

Right... that makes sense I guess. Treating it like a child and showing it the right things to make sure it does the right things.
[ ... ]
About the Last Man Standing? Yes.
