[another sip of sake, another little smile. it feels like forever since they've done this.

[that he probably would've let shirasu know about eventually, because tenka is the type who will take those dear to him everywhere that he can. he always wants to keep them close, so that he'll never have to be alone. maybe he'll have to let the kids grow up on their own but...

We can travel all around Japan - I want to see all the ways it's changing! It's a big world out there, you know?

he should have known it wouldn't be easy to leave it for good, but he tells himself it will be the last time-- both to be here and to speak with the person he stood beside for so long.
breaking this moment is still just beyond him, though. shirasu still rests against him in turn.]
