at first she just thought that four seemed like a nice girl?? they didn't really talk privately, but all of their interactions, four seemed like a proper girl who was very serious? it was weird because she simultaneously gave the impression of being sheltered but also not, but that was probably because she was pretending to be a fuckin puritan, so. but she also didn't hear anything that was bad about her for the most part? no one she spoke to had any complaints about her so naminé had zero reason to think four was anything other than who she was presenting herself as

then there was that one trial where shirasu started accusing four of being shady, and naminé was like :o because it was the first she heard of anything like that about her. but she ignored it, and then shirasu went and stabbed axel so naminé decided that anything shirasu had ever said in his entire life was suddenly invalid. which is why when the trial four got caught happened, naminé was like.... anti immediately jumping to the conclusion that four was Bad? because it just sounded like four was only doing her job and that things went seriously wrong and that four didn't mean for that to happen? but at that point there was no time left so four was going to be voted for regardless so oops but naminé felt bad for her...... obviously it later turned out she was a filthy murderer who also killed minato and swift wind BUT SHE DIDN'T KNOW SO IT WAS FINE

and then four had her fuckin meltdown and naminé went back to being :o at her
